Learning outcomes of the course unit Knowledge: Student: P_W01: identifies the basic structures of the grammar and vocabulary forms to the extent that allows the understanding of simple written and listening texts about the family, society, education; P_W02: constructs simple expressions appropriate to the specific situation typical for everyday life (talks about family, friends and neighbors, describes a typical Polish family, discusses different ways to build relationships; P_W03: recognizes and applies forms allowing self- and the immediate environment introduction (a typical English family, the description of an old photograph, adverts in magazines, phone messages); P_W04: distinguishes differences in the system of education in Poland and England; Student: P_U01: leads discussion on topics related to his own person and the immediate surroundings: a comparison of today's and former schools, embarrassing situations, the relationships between parents and children, choosing a language school, asking for information; P_U02: uses correct basic grammatical rules and lexical forms appropriate to the particular circumstances of everyday life (home, school); P_U03: constructs a short speech on given topic within the required / processed subject; Reference to programme learning outcomes Administration I 1

The aim of the course is to broaden language skills in a foreign language, which refer to the grammar and lexical forms, effective communication and openness to the challenges of today's job market. Learning outcomes of the course unit Student: P_W01: identifies the complex grammar and vocabulary structures allowing the understanding of complex texts on: ecological houses, lifestyle changes, current trends; Reference to programme learning outcomes Knowledge: P_W02: constructs complex expressions appropriate for the specific situation: convincing others to a particular point of view, introducing changes into traditional lifestyle, judging tournaments, life advice session; P_W03: recognizes and applies grammatical and lexical forms allowing the presentation of views on different topics: e.g. the quality of life; P_W04: distinguishes and applies the expressions characteristic for: radio show, reviews, radio program or television; Student: P_U01: discusses topics related to: styles in art, political views; P_U02: uses correct complex grammatical and lexical forms appropriate to the particular circumstances of everyday life: visit to the doctor, choice of therapy; P_U03: constructs complex speeches on given topics within the required / processed subject: talking about bad mood, health problems, flying doctors; P_U04: preparing oral and written presentation on a given topic such as: email to a friend, short notes and messages - using both formal and colloquial language; Student: P_K01: works independently on spoken and written forms (description, e-mail, note); Social Competence: Course contents III Semester: P_K02: works in a team solving complex tasks of reading, writing and listening comprehensions; P_K03: is aware of the importance of language in the modern world (nature conservation issues, lifestyle changes, current trends.)
