What is a Chiltern Traineeship? A Chiltern Training Traineeship course is ideal for motivated 16-18 year olds who want to get into work or an apprenticeship training programme and is focused on providing the vital skills and experience employers are looking for. Chiltern Training can provide the traineeship course for anyone between the ages of 16-18, who is not currently in education. A traineeship offers a chance to gain practical experience in the chosen field, as well as employability and functional skills support. Preparing for employment after completing the course.
What is an Apprenticeship? An Apprenticeship is on the job training. The learner will gain a nationally recognised qualification at the same time as gaining practical experience in the workplace. They would need be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week. (In some exceptions this may be 16 hours) The Apprentice will have a contract of employment and will earn a minimum of 2.73 an hour. Some employers will pay more than this. They will be classed an employee and will be entitled to holidays. An apprenticeship lasts a minimum of 12 months.
Level 2 Certificate CYPW and Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People s Workforce Apprenticeship (Early Years Educator) These courses are for people working with children and/or young people aged 0-16 years, in a child care setting including a Day Nursery, Pre School or Primary school. This can be studied under the Apprenticeship scheme as well as privately for those not eligible for funding. Those studying Level 3 need GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English or can study alongside but need a GCSE grade D in Maths and English. Once complete, Level 3 learners will be a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner. Once they gain more experience, they can go onto Team Leading, Management and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership. This course will last for a minimum of 12 months under the Apprenticeship scheme.
Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools Advanced Apprenticeships. This Qualification provides an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills required when working directly with children or young people. This Course will suit those interested working in primary, secondary or special schools. Learners can go in to a range of specialist roles dependent on the specialist optional units taken. There are also opportunities to move in to other roles across the wider children s workforce such as child care, play work or youth work.
Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma for Business and Administration Apprenticeships. This qualification suits people who are interested in a career in business or office work. It is suited for people who want to work in admin support roles or people who want to improve their administrative skills. Not limited to one sector- our apprentices work in recruitment, the council, doctors surgeries, school offices, international organisations and many more This course includes Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships
Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Business & Professional Administration Apprenticeships. This course is suited to those who lead or manage a team or are aspiring to move on to such a role within a business setting. The Higher Apprenticeship provides the learner with a range of strategic administrative and management skills from budget management through to promoting innovation. Higher apprentices can progress to roles including operations director, business development manager and in to a wider range of managerial roles. This can be studied under the Higher Apprenticeship scheme. Apprentices will cover Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT at level 2.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for the Children and Young People s Workforce This course is for people working as managers, assistant managers and room seniors in services including Day Nursery, Pre-Schools, Breakfast and After School Clubs. It is a competence-based qualification designed to be assessed in the workplace. This qualification gives learners the opportunity to build both managerial and practitioner skills. Learners must hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification and be an experienced practitioner. You must also be in a supervisory role within a Childcare setting. This is delivered in monthly tutorials. This qualification can be used as a stepping stone to a Foundation degree, BA and EYPS.
Online Courses: Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading This qualification is designed for practising or aspiring team leaders who are responsible for the activities and performance of others in achieving company objectives. The Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading gives learners a broader knowledge of team leading skills while focusing on the specific skills areas. After completing this course, learners can progress onto Level 3 Award or Diploma in Management
Online Courses: Level 3 Award in First Line Management This qualification will provide an introduction to the skills, roles and responsibilities of this management area. It will also develop basic knowledge by focusing on the development of specific management skills. The Level 3 qualification in First Line Management has been developed for supervisors and first line managers who have operational responsibility for a defined area of activity, this qualification gives junior managers the communication and motivational skills to help improve operational efficiency. You do not need to be working to undertake the course.
Online Courses: Level 2 Award in Support Work In Schools This will suit anyone who is interested in going into a career as a support worker in schools. Units include: Child and young person development, Equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people, Schools as organisations. There are no formal entry requirements although candidates should have the ability to manage the requirements of the level of the qualification. You do not need to be working or volunteering in a practical placement to undertake the course. It will take approximately 6 months to complete this course.
Online Courses: Level 3 Award in Supporting, Teaching & Learning in Schools This qualification will provide an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children or young people in primary, secondary or special schools. This qualification will provide you with everything you need to know to help out in a school or work as a teaching assistant. It will take approximately 6 months to complete this course.
Level 3 Award in Education and Training. The BTEC Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification that has been developed to give learners the opportunity to: Develop knowledge related to teaching and learning Develop skills in teaching and learning Achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification Develop their own personal growth and engagement in teaching in teaching and learning.
Assessor Qualification: The Training Assessment & Quality Assurance Qualifications The TAQA units and qualifications provide people who carry out assessment and internal quality assurance roles in their organisation with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for their roles. They have been developed for those working in accredited learning, non-accredited learning, the NQF and the QCF. This qualification is for anyone working in or hoping to take up a role in assessing. These qualifications can help you to progress your career as a qualified assessor and trainer.
