Led by Cach Tm Fabrizi 98, the prgram has ver 900 victries, 1 State Champinship, a 3rd and 4th place finish, 15 reginal champinships, 8 sectinal champinships, and 12 cnference champinships. BOYS BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMP Over the last ten seasns as Head Cach, Gene Nlan 92 has led Marist t a recrd f 199-97, averaging 19.9 wins per seasn the mst f any Cathlic high schl n the Suthside. During this time the RedHawks have wn fur Reginal Champinships and were a Sectinal Finalist in 2012. BOYS FOOTBALL CAMP Head Cach Pat Dunne 98 is excited t be a part f Marist ftball and welcmes athletes t be a part f a new era at the schl. Dunne led the 2008 squad t a 9-3 recrd and the State Quarterfinals, the 2009 team t an 11-3 recrd and State Final appearance, the 2010 team t a 6-4 recrd and the State Playffs, the 2011 team t a 7-3 recrd, and the 2012 team t an 8-2 recrd. The Marist RedHawks were als Cnference C-Champins in 2011 and 2012. A Marist player himself, Dunne played in cllege and had stints at the prfessinal level. CO-ED POLE VAULT CAMP The camp will fcus n the basics f ple vault. The athletes will be intrduced t the basic skills f the ple vault: hw t hld the ple, run with the ple, planting the ple, and jumping in the pit. All athletes will begin by learning the basics and will prgress t jumping in the sand and ultimately the pit. The gal is t teach everyne hw t Jump High. This will allw athletes f all levels t have a basic understanding f the sprt and be ready t jump when entering high schl as freshmen. All athletes will be cached by Certified Ple Vaulting Cach, Rich Karnia, wh has cached state qualifiers in 2008, 2010, and 2011. Current athletes have jumped 11 6 (girls) and 13 0 (bys). GIRLS SOFTBALL SUMMER CAMP Ever since the sftball prgram began at Marist in 2002, the girls have experienced great success. Under the directin f Cach Denise Brmberek, teams have wn nine reginal titles, tw sectinal titles, five East Suburban Cathlic Cnference Champinships, and the first girls State Champinship in 2012! Many varsity sftball players have earned All-Cnference, cllegiate sftball schlarships, and ne player earned Player f the Year twice in ur cnference. In 2006, 2010, and 2012, Cach Brmberek was named Sectinal Cach f the Year. In 2012, the Daily Suthtwn named Cach Brmberek Cach f the Year. In rder t prepare fr the regular seasn and state play-ffs, the varsity team travels ut f state t cmpete against the best cmpetitin (This 2014 Spring Break, we will be traveling t Flrida t play against several f the tp teams in the natin.). GIRLS GOLF SUMMER CAMP The Marist glf camp will fcus n the fundamentals and basics f the grip, stance/alignment, glf swing, chipping, and putting. The gal is t give girls a slid fundatin t imprve in and enjy the game f glf. The camp will take place at The Meadws Glf Club in Blue Island. Head Cach Jim Barker and PGA Prfessinal Jerry Vidvic will be n hand t run each mdule f the camp. Prper glf attire is required including a cllared shirt, khaki shrts, scks and gym/glf shes.
