Headgear is required for practices and meets Singlets and headgear will be provided by St. Paul's or Star Shoes are available in the exchange bucket - first come first serve GENERAL: I want to make sure that we build a positive, Christian atmosphere for the boys to learn and enjoy the sport of Wrestling. I encourage parents to participate as a volunteer, assistant coach, or helper. I ask that parents with boys in grades 2 and 3 to participate in practices and at meets. St. Paul's will be hosting the Invitational Tournament on March 19th and we will need volunteers to make it a successful event.

St. Paul's Youth Wrestling Invitational March 19, 2016 This wrestling tournament is open to boys in grades 1st - 8th on invited teams Divisions: 1st & 2nd Awards: 1st Gold Medal 3rd & 4th 2nd Silver Medal 5th & 6th all others Bronze Medal 7th & 8th Matches: All matches will consist of three one minute periods (1-1-1) First takedown will get choice of position in second period Bracketing: Wrestlers will be bracketed into 4 or 5 man brackets based on division, ability, and weight. Abilities will be used to make sure that there are enough matches for all entries. Boys with extreme sizes my be of exception and will be discussed with the head coaches before bracketing. Bracketing will be set the night before with a brief review at the coaches meeting to determine scratches and good matchups. Entry Fee: Meet Wear: Checks must be payable to St. Paul's Lutheran School Full payment and permission slips must be turned in before a boy may wrestle Payment and permissions slips can be turned in at the door Singlets or cotton t-shirts and shorts are required.
