Dear Student, Based on performance at the CLAT-2016 Examination held on 8 th May 2016, the candidates who are provisionally selected up to 3 rd (Third) Allotment List provided by Rajiv Gandhi national University of Law, Punjab (Organizing University) for counselling for admission in the five year integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) / B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree course at Chanakya National Law University, Patna, are requested to meet the Registrar along with parents at Chanakya National Law University, Nyaya Nagar, Mithapur, Patna-800 001 with the following documents (Original and Attested Photo copies both) on the dates of Admission mentioned below: 1. School/College Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate. 2. Migration Certificate. 3. Character Certificate from the institution last attended indicating that he/she has never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period. 4. Original Matriculation certificate or Mark Sheet where Date of Birth is clearly mentioned. 5. Mark Sheet of Matriculation. 6. Mark Sheet of Intermediate. 7. Medical Certificate of good health along with blood group. 8. Caste Certificate for the reserved category candidates only. 9. Four Passport size photographs. 10. One Passport size photograph of the Local Guardian who shall be a near/close relative. 11. Admit Card of CLAT 2016. 12. The students shall vacate the hostel rooms during summer and winter vacations, and whenever the University so requires. Note: 1. The dress code is compulsory for all the official functions and the Moot Courts (including Intra Moot Court Competition) of the University. Tie and Black Shoes. On regular class days the students shall attend the classes with formal wear in conformity with the Bar Council of India Rules. 2. The students should bring the following for hostel accommodation: Mattress (6'x3') Bed Sheets & pillow Bucket & Mug Lock with triplicate key Mosquito Net Mirror Umbrella Other necessary items of daily use. The classes for the First Semester (2016-17 Batch) will commence on 19 th July, 2016. After the interview and finalization of the admission to the University you will be admitted to the Hostel on 18 th July 2016. The hostel accommodation is optional. Local and other students may be day scholars with the permission of the University. In case the admission is not confirmed for any reason, the fees remitted by you will be refunded as per rules relating to refund of fees mentioned in the Annexure- I. You are required to undergo a general medical check-up from a recognized and reputed diagnostic laboratory / clinic / government hospital and produce the medical report (specially mentioning the blood group and whether you are allergic to certain medicines) for the reference of the University s Medical Officer. The Medical facility on the campus is limited for minor ailments. If you are suffering from any ailment / disease which warrant medical consultation on regular / frequent basis, emergency medical facilities would not be available. In such cases you need to consult your parents before finally deciding to join Chanakya National Law University, Patna. Four Wheelers (cars, etc.) shall not be parked either in the campus or in the parking area of the University. The students shall park their two wheelers in the parking area of the University. Failure to observe this Rules entails heavy penalty. Monthly Mess charges will be decided by the Student s Mess Committee. The University upholds integrity, character, discipline and academic excellence to which every student must contribute. Students shall observe and adhere to the rules and regulations of the University. RAGGING AND SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN ANY FORM IS BANNED AND IS A PUNISHABLE OFFENCE and will entail immediate expulsion from the University. Notary Public, the affidavit form, issued by the UGC regarding ragging etc. at the time of their counselling (See Annexure II & III). The University has already constituted an Anti-ragging Squad and Anti-ragging Committee. The Faculty would be doing their best to mould the career of every student in a manner that the University can justifiably be proud of. In this effort constant and continuing support of the parents is solicited. Parents should accompany their wards, so as to interact with the Vice- Chancellor, Registrar, Faculty and the Wardens and get to know the facilities available as no demands for facilities other than those available will be entertained by the University. The University endeavours to inculcate, cultivate and develop in every student human dignity, fundamental moral values and maintain high standards of discipline. The University is a nonsmoking zone and consumption and possession of intoxicating liquors and psychotropic substances is punishable offence and is strictly prohibited. Use of cell phones in the Classrooms, the Library and Administrative Block is prohibited. Use of cell-cameras on the campus or in the Hostel Rooms is prohibited. If anybody is found misusing the cell phone, the cell phone will be confiscated and the person so misuses shall be punished. Violation of any of these rules would be viewed as an act of indiscipline and may entail severe action which may lead to expulsion from the University. Before you decide to join the University you need to consider all these aspects. If you do not report and complete admission formalities on the given date and time (between 23 rd 25 th June, 2016), this provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled. Full payment of `1,86,500/- shall be made at the time of admission and no requests for extension of time for submission of original documents shall be entertained and failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the claim for seat. Rules relating to refund of fees as applicable ANNEXURE- I a. In respect of the candidates whose admissions are confirmed after interview and who leave the University and the consequential vacancy is filled up, 30% of the tuition fee plus admission fees and admission processing fee (in case of CLAT candidates, `28,350 + ` 1,000 + ` 5,000/- and in case of FN/NRI/NRI Sponsored Category, `78,750 + `1,000 + ` 5,000) will be retained and the balance amount will be refunded. Other charges if any, due to the University, will be collected. b. In respect of the candidates who leave the University and the consequential vacancy does not get filled in, the following amounts will be retained by the University and the rest will be refunded: For CLAT candidates: Tuition Fee ` 94,500/- Admission Fee ` 1,000/- Admission Processing Fee ` 5,000/- Facilities Fee and Room Rent will be retained pro rata on monthly basis.
