During the 2001-2010 period the FBI LEOKA documents that 541 officers were feloniously killed. Of the 541 victim officers, 496 were killed with firearms -- 51.9 %of the victim officers were killed within 0-5 feet, and another 19.2% were killed between 6 and 10 feet. YEAR TOTAL OFFICERS KIA Distance : 0 5 Feet Distance : 6-10 Feet Distance : 0 10 Feet 2001-2010 468 KIA 243 / 51.9% 90 / 19.2% 333 Officers 71.1% In the fields of behavioral psychology, evolutionary psychology, motor learning behavior and human factors, the significance of distance is often linked to response time and accuracy. In the case of a lethal firefight, the distance between the assailant and a fallen officer will indicate the the chances of survival, proactivity and the human performance. Therefore the modern law enforcement officer must understand the changing human terrain, the dynamic of a firefight and the ability to recognize threat indicators, etc. But above all its all about performance. In short Your performance in stress within compressed human environments are being pushed to the very limits of human performance. Are your training procedures, routines or is even your knowledge behavior compliant?

Patrol Officer CQB A specific close quarters course oriented for law enforcement personal who want to understand their environment, dynamics of conflict. And above all to protect. The need. Those who serve to protect are facing a new changing threat, a paradigm shift in domestic type of violence, unrest and terror. Those threats are mobile, aggressive and often better equipped. But above all, their actions are proactive. Statistically, the first responders, let it be the patrol or traffic officer, are those who are more likely to reach the hot zone first. That means that they have the highest probability to interfere, prevent or maybe end the threat proactive actions before the scenario becomes a stand off. Giving the fact that CQB is tight, crowded and hard to maneuver, your chances to cause more harm statistically increases, especially in edge situations. In this course however, you will learn how to decrease that threat, while preventing collateral damage.

The purpose of this unique course is to give the average police officer the opportunity to understand the dynamics of violence, its indicators and above all - its effect on our human performance. In this course, the student will experience stress, will solve problems on the fly and will face several simulations that will require brain rather than a trigger finger. We will teach you the fundamentals of CQB, the human terrain, its threat indicators as well as its lethality when dealing with a violent opponent. The purpose of this course is to increase the officer s survivability chances while maximizing his / her effect on the envoirment. In addition to all of the practical knowledge, we want to give you an insight into the human performance and its mechanism in reality within violence.
