Fidelity Coordinator Mind and Body Empowerment Project March 2010-May 2011 Department of Psychology Principal Researcher: Sonya Bettendorf, M.A Faculty Advisor: Ann Fischer, Ph.D. 5 hours weekly Study examined differences in outcome between cognitivebehavioral interventions and feminist interventions on body image in college women. Description: Participated in a discussion with 10 graduate students and 2 faculty members about issues relevant to working with transgender and genderdiverse clients. Discussed the privileges associated with those whose gender expression is perceived to align with their assumed sex category as facilitator presented information from the Gay and Lesbian Affirmative Psychotherapy (GLAP) conference in February 2010. Safe Zone Training Spring 2010 Carbondale GLBT Resource Center Trainer: Description: Virginia Dicken, M.A. Participated in 2 hour workshop that provided training to be an effective ally to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, and staff.
