POOL UPDATE Wow, can you believe it s already the middle of July? Summer is flying by! We now have a Pool Committee in place (but could always use more hands...hint hint) to aid our WB summertime cool spot! Please try to keep in mind this is a volunteer service and we are doing our best to work with everyone on multiple levels. That being said, we have already received 26 chairs, 14 loungers, another trash receptacle and a new front gate lock! We are now awaiting the arrival of 4 more tables and 9 new umbrellas (should be very soon). We also have a wheelchair lift that is being custom built and installed within a month, along with replacing some areas around the skimmers that are cracked...yay! Pending on quote right now, landscape edging is to be put in place to help keep the lava rocks in all landscape areas around pool. Don't forget to stop by the amenity center and ask management if you have lost anything around the pool/gym area as the once small tote has become an overflowing large box. All items not collected by the end of the pool season (around October-date will be posted later), will be donated to local charities. Williamsburg 1

Planning is underway for the ornamental grass beds and flowerbeds at the front entrance as well as redesigning the median on Pleasant Hill Lane. Currently we are in the process of addressing all the irrigation concerns, reviewing bids on improvements to the pocket parks in the new phases as well as replacing all dead trees and areas where sod needs to be repaired or replaced. More recently the medians on Kensington Place, Commonwealth Lane, and Bassett Hall were all redesigned. New Residents: Visit the Amenity Center for an access badge. Neighborhood Watch Update July 2017 Hi y all! I wanted to quickly introduce myself: my name is Erik and I moved to Williamsburg last October from Rockwall, where we had lived since 2000. I m the guy with the orange Jeep and you can usually spot me running through the neighborhood most mornings. I volunteered to take over as Neighborhood Watch for Ryan, who we can all thank for his service over the last three years. Thanks so much Ryan! That being said, we could use some more volunteers to ensure we have complete neighborhood-wide coverage. In case you are curious, here is some information about Neighborhood Watch I received from Fate PD along with where we currently need coverage. If you are interested, please text, call or email me and I ll get you set up! Best, Erik Dickison 214.843.0757 edickison@gmail.com What is Neighborhood Watch? Concerned residents are the best asset any police department has in fighting crime. The Neighborhood Watch program was developed to train and educate residents in ways to be involved, stay informed and work together with their neighbors to address mutual concerns and find solutions. A watch program is neighbors helping neighbors. Goals of the Neighborhood Crime Watch: Developing strong neighbor relations whereby neighbors watch out for each other Educating neighbors to recognize suspicious activity and take appropriate action Implementing other crime deterrents such as basic home security measures Contributing to the reduction of residential burglaries and other neighborhood crime through information exchange that include crime prevention programs and literature Do you need to be a ninja to volunteer for neighborhood watch? Neighborhood Watch does not require frequent meetings (goal is to have 1 quarterly) It does not ask that anyone take any personal risks to prevent crime Williamsburg 3
Neighborhood Watch also serves as a means to address other community concerns that impact the quality of life in neighborhoods (projects to slow traffic, attending community events, getting cats out of trees, etc.) Neighborhood Watch leaves the responsibility for apprehending criminals where it belongs - with the Fate Department of Public Safety Area Covered Alice Ln.
