Friendship Afternoon Well done to our year 6 teams who led the multi-aged friendship groups to unpack what a learning community is, looks like, feels like and acts like. For our student leaders the challenge is to present a topic to their group and create opportunities to explore this through shared dialogue, role plays, games and art work. The purpose is for all students to feel comfortable in the playground by getting to know students from other classes. As well as leading students through the above mentioned activities the year 6 leaders also spoke to students about the importance of positive relationships and standing up for each other. The timing of the event coincided with Harmony Day (21/03) and also the National Day of Action Against Bullying (17/03). Every student received a wrist band with the slogan Bullying No Way! - Take a Stand Together for them to wear in support of our commitment to this action. Thanks to Emma Baldwin and the Learning to Learn team. Bev and Kim TERM 1, WEEK 8 THURSDAY, MARCH 23 RD 2017 P a g e 2
