Eugene McDermott Graduate Fellowship utdallas.edu/graduatefellows The Eugene McDermott Graduate Fellows Program is designed to prepare outstanding doctoral students for careers in leading research enterprises. The University's schools, departments and programs recruit distinguished doctoral students from across the nation and around the world. Each year, some of the most talented of these are named Eugene McDermott Graduate Fellows. McDermott Fellows receive a four-year award package that annually includes a 12-month stipend of $36,000, health insurance, tuition and fees, discretionary budget of $10,000, professional development and other enrichment opportunities. Tuition and Fees, Scholarships and Financial Aid utdallas.edu/tuition UT Dallas offers a Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan, which promises to lock the tuition rate and mandatory fees for a four-year period beginning with registration. Housing and University Recreation utdallas.edu/housing For graduate students, on-campus housing is available in University Village apartments, Canyon Creek Heights apartments, as well as in University Commons Residence Halls. The apartments offer a variety of furnished and unfurnished floor plans. University Commons residence halls feature fully furnished three-bedroom suites. All options offer UT Dallas students the comfort of home within walking distance to class. utdallas.edu/recsports The Activity Center and Recreation Center West are both available to graduate students. Together, they provide access to traditional weight and cardio training equipment in addition to racquetball courts, squash courts, basketball courts, a climbing wall and a 25-yard indoor swimming pool. There is also access to outdoor basketball courts, a cricket field, sand volleyball courts, soccer fields, tennis courts, softball fields and baseball fields.

Research and Entrepreneurship utdallas.edu/graduate/research UT Dallas has fostered a strong tradition of academic excellence since its inception and strongly encourages graduate students to participate in cutting-edge research in areas that include communication disorders, criminology, biomedical devices and quantum physics. Researchers received over $106 million in total research funding in 2016. Bioengineering and Sciences Building Three research buildings have been added since 2016, adding over 213,000 square feet of space with two additional buildings scheduled for completion by 2020. Blackstone LaunchPad innovation.utdallas.edu/startup-programs Callier Richardson Expansion Blackstone LaunchPad gives campus community members a resource and a facility to pursue entrepreneurial dreams. The program's new 5,000-square-foot-space is located near the center of campus and operates under the umbrella of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
