3 Meet our Graduates NAtALIe Ilene Stuthman Natalie is the daughter of Matthew & Gena Stuthman. She has 3 brothers and a sister. Her hobbies include Martial arts, playing soccer and football, reading, drawing, watching YouTube and working out. One of her favorite memories of CCS would be when they went rollerblading on Valentine s Day. Natalie states, It was fun to mess around and laugh whenever we fell down, though most of the time we were probably trying to knock down the closest person. What Natalie enjoyed most about CCS is that there s not as much drama as there would be in the public school. You are free to talk freely about things like religion and politics in the classroom, while having a reasonable conversation about those same subjects. Natalie will be attending Lakeview High School in the fall. ZAChARy Randal Hamling Zach is the son of Randy & (the late) Nicole Hamling. Zach has 1 sister, 4 step-brothers, and a step-mother, Melody. Zach s hobbies include playing football, going fishing, hunting, playing pool and bowling. One of Zach s memories of CCS is when he was completing the goal s he set for himself during the fall parent/teacher conferences slide show. Some of his goals were to improve his reading skills, excel in his Bible homework and get better grades. One thing Zach appreciated about having a Christian education is, learning about God everyday in school and in my life. Zach will be attending Wahoo High School in the fall. COLtOn Shaw Reed Colton is the son of Vincent & April Reed. He has 1 sister. Colton enjoys camping, riding his bike, and going to classic car shows with his dad. One of Colton s favorite memories while attending CCS was a field trip to the Stur Museum with his dad while in Mrs. Deruchie s class. Colton said, We made hand-churned butter, jelly and cornbread. One of the things Colton appreciates about attending CCS is that the Lord has taught him to respect others and to set himself apart from bad influence. Colton is one of our two graduating students who received our Pioneer Award. Colton has been attending CCS since he was in Preschool. He will be attending Columbus High School in the fall.

4 JOSHUA Kyle Kittrell Graduates Continued... Josh is the son of Walter (Bubba) & Tami Kittrell. Josh has 3 sisters and 1 brother. His hobbies include football, basketball and playing video games. Josh states, There are many memories that I can recall within the past 10 years, so it s hard to pick one above the others, but I think I ve come to a conclusion in picking our 5th & 6th grade field trip to Memorial Stadium, the news station and the Capitol building in Lincoln. It was a lot of fun running on the field at the stadium, experiencing the tight elevators in the Capitol and playing in front of the green screen at the News Station. It was probably my favorite field trip. One thing the Lord has taught Josh while attending CCS is that he appreciates his Christian Education because it has given him a solid foundation in Christ to go out into the world and not be lead away from, but bring others to Him. Josh is one of our two students who received our Pioneer Award. He has attended CCS since he was in Preschool. He will be attending Columbus High School in the fall. LAnDOn Dakota King Landon is the son of Melody & Randy (step-father) Hamling. Landon has 3 brothers, 1 step-brother & 1 step-sister. His hobbies include playing sports, physical work and playing video games. One of Landon s memories of CCS will be remembering the wacky mornings they would have telling jokes. He enjoyed whenever someone would start a conversation everyone would get in on and pitch in their own opinion. One thing the Lord has taught Landon is that through patience and prayer, God works in mysterious ways and guides him through the greater things in life. Landon will be attending Wahoo High School in the fall.

5 Our Trip to the Zoo The entire school enjoyed a trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo at the end of April. We enjoyed walking around with the students and seeing all the animals. After speaking to several students, two of their favorite things to watch were the baby gorilla and the baby orangatan. The kindergarten boys really enjoyed watching the baby orangatan. He was swinging from the rope and trying to land in a white bucket. He was flipping the bucket over his head and tried to hide in it. Next he would stand on it, but would tip over and fall. They laughed the whole time. The jungle was also a favorite as well as the dessert dome. The alligators were lively that day and right up by the fence. You could almost stick your fingers through the fence and touch one, although not a good idea! We enjoyed lunch outside with our groups and before we knew it, it was time to head home. As you can see from the pictures, it was a fun filled day! Now Enrolling for the 2017-2018 School Year!! If you or someone you know is interested in attending CCS, please contact the school office or email me at apaul@columbuschristian.esu7.org. We still have preschool openings available and offer quality Christian Education through the 8th Grade. Get in touch with one of our School Board Members or the School Office.
