Mrs. Esther O. Garcia Course: AP Spanish literature Course Description: The objective of this course is to continue developing proficiency in all four language skills: listening, reading and writing. The course is designed for those students that have knowledge of the Spanish Language and they can fallow at high level. Students who enroll should have a basic knowledge of the language and culture of Spanish-speaking people and should have attained a reasonable proficiency in listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. Although these qualifications may be attained in a variety of ways, it is assumed that most students will be in the final stages of their secondary school training and will have had substantial course work in the language. Successful performance of the examination is equivalent to the performance of the students who have completed five or six semesters of college Spanish language courses at post -secondary institutions that admit members of AP Spanish candidates. Objectives: The students will be able to: Comprehend formal and informal Spanish. Provide students with a vocabulary and a grasp of structure to allow the easy, accurate reading of literature in Spanish.
