(Mechanical Engineering emphasis on Structural Mechanics) by BTH Sweden ( Intake : 10 seats ) ADMISSION INFORMATION STUDY IN INDIA AND SWEDEN, EUROPE INTERNATIONAL INTEGRATED DOUBLE DEGREE MASTERS PROGRAMME (IIDDMP) Andhra University, a premier institute of higher education in India with strong academic and research profile was established in 1926. Andhra University College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam is the campus college of university. Andhra University awarded a rating of A+ by National Assessment & Accrediation Council ( NAAC), UGC. I. GENERAL 1. International Integrated Double Degree Masters Program (IIDDMP) is designed for the advantage of Student Community through which students can acquire both B. Tech. & M. Tech degrees from AU and M. Sc degree from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden in FIVE years. This IIDDMP degree is recognized in India through AU and in Europe through Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden and globally through AU and BTH. This special arrangement increases the face value of the degree and makes it free from local recognition hurdles which students usually face at the time of employment or Ph.D. Studies in India after pursuing studies in Foreign Universities. This program protects the future of the students in a better way both in India and abroad. 2. Applications for admission into Integrated B. Tech & M. Tech / M. Sc Computer Science & Engineering/ Software Engineering/ Telecommunications Systems / Mechanical Engineering (Structural Mechanics) under IIDDMP will be processed by AU in association with Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden. 3. There will be no provision for students to discontinue the studies in the middle of the program and claim alternative degree. 4. All Admissions are purely provisional and the University reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage.
2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to admission for the IIDDMP-2014: 1. Candidates with Intermediate Education (10+ 2 pattern) conducted by the A.P Board of Intermediate Education (BIE)/CBSE/ICSE with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry subjects with minimum of 60%. 3. STRUCTURE OF IIDDMP The duration of IIDDMP is 5 years (10 Semesters) and the students admitted have to undergo the first 3 ½ years (Seven semesters) of mandatory education at AU COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, VISAKHAPATNAM and, after obtaining the required eligibility, the remaining 1½ years (Three semesters) of mandatory education at BTH, Sweden. 4. FEE STRUCTURE & SCHOLARSHIPS: Year AU ( 350000 INR / Seven Semesters ) BTH ( 90 000 SEK / Three semesters )* 1 st Year 100000 INR 2 nd Year 100000 INR 3 rd Year 100000 INR 4 th Year 50000 INR 30000 SEK # ( 4- II Semester ) 5 th Year- Ist 30000 SEK ( 5 I Semester ) IInd 30000 SEK ( 5- II Semester ) # 1SEK = Approx. 8.8 INR ( Based on present existing foreign exchange) *The Tuition fee for free movers at BTH is 150000 SEK / 3 Semesters. For the IIDDMP students pursuing under MoC the effective fee is 90 000 SEK after the award of a scholarship (with tuition fee waiver of 40%). Further, all the IIDDMP Students are eligible to apply for BTH Scholarship (Tuition fee waivers ) programme for three levels of Tuition fee waiver on existing tuition fee of 150 000 SEK i.e. 1) 100% 2) 75% and 3) 50%.The selection of BTH scholarship awardees will be done as per the merit of academic excellence among all the international students. The results of scholarships will be declared in the month of July (around the commencement of 4 I st semester at AU). If students get a 100 % scholarship: There will be no tuition fee for three semesters at BTH. If students get a 75% scholarship, the tuition fee will be 37500 SEK for three semesters at BTH. If students get a 50% scholarship, the BTH tuition fee will be 75000 SEK for three semesters at BTH. Refund of fee will not be entertained once admission is made. Fee shall be paid at the beginning of each academic year at AU and semester wise at BTH. 5. VISA REQUIREMENTS & ACCOMMODATION: Students should be able to fund their travel & living expenses for the stay at Sweden. Students should be able to show a minimum financial requirement of SEK 7300 (Sweden Kronas) per month for the entire planned study period at Sweden. Documentation certifying one s own must be provided at the time of applying visa. For 18 Months stay in Sweden, the students should show minimum financial requirement of SEK 131 400, Approx. INR 13 Lakhs ( As per the present currency exchange rate*) before Swedish Migration Board while applying for VISA ( Student Residence Permit). For further details check www.migrationsverket.se Accommodation at AU : No hostel accommodation will be provided at AU. Accommodation at BTH: The average accommodation cost will be around 36000 SEK / Annum during the study period at BTH, Sweden. NOTE:- Students are responsible to show the required financial proofs to the migration authorities while applying for student permit (VISA). Either BTH or AU will not be responsible for the visa rejections caused on the grounds of in-sufficient financial funds/statements in front of Migration Board. 6. PLACEMENTS The successfully completed IIDDMP students are eligible for campus placements at AU as per AU norms. 7.
