Offering Business Administra on (BSAD) as an online completer degree program is consistent with Auburn University's 2013 2018 Strategic Plan, Priority 1, Goals 3A and 3B to offer fully online undergraduate degree comple on programs in areas iden fied as promising through market research. The BSAD Online program will have the same program and learning goals as our campus program. Program goals include job placement and student sa sfac on comparable to that reached by on campus programs. Learning goals expect that students who complete the program will: 1. The University's 2013 2018 Strategic Plan calls for the crea on of fully online undergraduate degree completer programs such as the proposed BSAD Online program. Jus fica on for request: The University's partner in this effort (EverSpring) has iden fied Business Administra on as the exis ng Auburn degree program with the greatest market poten al. Their research indicates an enrollment es mate of 400 600 at full implementa on, even a er considering local compe tors such as Troy University and the University of Alabama. However, the intent of the Harbert College is to discon nue the on campus Business Administra on major and to offer BSAD Online only as a completer program. However, the BSAD Online program differs from these programs in courses offered. collabora on is planned. However, it is conceivable that in me we may partner with two year schools to tailor their and our offerings to enable their students to seamlessly enter our program. Will a significant por on of this program be available for delivery by distance educa on? All courses in this program will be provided via distance educa on only. Courses will be developed by Harbert College faculty supported by instruc onal design staff provided by Auburn's online educa on partner, Everspring. The courses will be delivered via Canvas learning management system u lizing mul ple pedagogical strategies including short videos, simula ons, interac ve tasks, text, and other learning objects. Distance Educa on: Instructors will interact with students to answer ques ons, hold discussions, review and clarify material, and develop and grade assessment ac vi es. In addi on to Canvas, students will be able to communicate with instructors via e mail, telephone, and video conference. Academic support services will be provided to students by exis ng campus units, including library services, wri ng center, tutoring services, advising, and career planning. Addi onal non academic support such as technical support will be provided by Everspring. Courses in the program will u lize the Biggio Center Tes ng Services to arrange proctored examina ons. Documented Need for Proposed Program: Research by the University's partner (Everspring) demonstrates a market need for online Business Administra on completer degree. Anecdotally, we receive many requests for informa on on an online business degree, and we must refer these requests to other ins tu ons. This is especially prevalent in the online accoun ng program for second degree seeking students. Many students without a degree contact us about the accoun ng
