I met Jerry while in US Army signal officer training. We went to Korea at the same time, too. I flew across Korea to visit him the the very
weekend he became the commander of an artillery unit. Jerry was a leader. I know this because he was asked to command troops outside his branch of Army training! I was hoping to renew a friendship if I moved to Lubbock. I am truly sadden to learn in that he has passed. He was a good friend and a nononsense guy.904-219-5300 RAY MAUDLIN, APRIL 30, 2015 Theresa, I was saddened to learn of Gerald's death. REGISTER, FEBRUARY 16, 2010 Teresa, I have just returned home from out of town and so sad to read about your loss. Jerry was a fine man and I know you have many happy memories
that will sustain you in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. I, of course knew he had some health problems when you moved from next door (Griffith Ave. Owensboro, KY) but I did not realize he had progressive supranuclear palsy. If you remember that is what my husband, Richard had and he passed away October 5, 2005. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. JOYCE EDWARDS, FEBRUARY 16, 2010 My thoughts and prayers go out to Jerry's family. I never had the honor of meeting him, but visit with his mom, Dixie frequently here in Owensboro, KY. She always speaks of Jerry so lovingly and is so proud of him. If ever she is nervous or anxious, all I have to do is to get her to sit down and talk to me about Jerry and she immediately calms down and is okay again. What a loving mother and so, so proud of her son. God bless you all. MARILYN ALDRIDGE, FEBRUARY 16, 2010 Was on PPD with Jerry. Great guy, great attitude, great agent. RON JOHNSTON, FEBRUARY 15, 2010 I had the honor and distinct pleasure of knowing and working with Jerry when I was with the FBI here in Dallas. Whether it was a grueling surveillance, a vital investigation, or a perspective enhancing Chili Cookoff, he made the situation bearable or successful or more fun than we federal agents are supposed to be capable of. He was part of a great team over there at the USSS. To close friends and family, I offer my heartfelt condolences. All our lives are richer from knowing Jerry. We, of the fraternity will be singin' songs around the campfire for years to come about our friend.
