TOPIC GROUP SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION MEETING IN BREMEN - GERMANY FEBRUARY 16-17TH 2017

Dates: from Thursday, 16.02.2017 to Friday, 17.02.2017 Place: Bremen + Hamburg (Germany) Hosting Company: GEWOBA MEETING SUMMARY WHAT IS THE SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION TOPIC GROUP? After about eight years of activities the Energy Saving topic group decided to widen its point of view and change its name into Sustainable Construction. Energy will continue to be a key topic, but we want to focus also on non-energy related aspects of buildings, such as environment in a wider meaning (CO2 emission, life cycle analysis, etc.), economy (cost of construction and maintenance, life cycle cost) and social (tenant involvement, affordable housing, etc.). Thus we will analyse both existing and new buildings under this point of view, we will focus on the whole process, analysing the different aspects linked to sustainability. The previous group experience will not be forgotten, but broadened and extended thanks to the new activities. The group will be led by Johann Christian Plagemann (GEWOBA) and Remy Delbaere (Habitat 62/59), with the technical support and coordination by Luwoge Consult and greenlab. WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE MEETING? AND NEXT? The overall work plan for the next years will be presented and we will start going into the topic, with lectures, presentations and discussion on the topic of sustainability focusing on the needs of social housing companies. After this first general discussion a shared framework, will lead us through the following meetings. We will dig into the specific aspects of every subtopic and analyse them in detail and with a holistic approach. WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE? The meeting is open to all Eurhonet members and we will focus both on technical and management aspects, so different people in your company could be involved. HOW DO I CONFIRM MY PRESENCE?
