Curriculum Development -Created following degree tracks: (will become degrees once funding is available) Video, Animation, and Digital Art BFA & MFA Graphic Design BFA & MFA Object Design MFA -Course creation -Created a total of 45 new courses for the Art and Art History Department covering curriculum that would create innovative research, interdisciplinary experiments and ensure student success upon graduation -Coordination -Scheduling of courses to begin graduating the first cohorts of the track, hiring adjuncts to teach lower level courses, advising students on credits and creative pathways. Ensuring accreditation through local state government requirements. -Study Abroad Bauhaus Workshop Program Director for three-week excursion to Berlin & Dessau, Germany and Basel, Switzerland in Summer 2016. Students will participate in an intense one-week workshop at the Bauhaus Campus in Dessau and visit several contemporary art and architectural locations in Berlin and Basel. -Community Outreach and Recruitment -I attend Animation Conferences, attend High Schools, and create partnerships with local businesses to create internships for students. -Facilitate student screenings at local institutions such as the Wolfsonian Museum and visiting artists for professional practice development for students. -Mentor and work independently with undergraduate and graduate students. -Create and administrate summer programming for teens to experience college level art creation and introduction to technology as an art form Equipment and Technical Elements -3D Printing -Makerbot Generation 2-5, mini and Z18 -Formlabs resin based printer -Powder based printing -Laser cutter and 3D 5 axis CNC -Electric Ceramic Kilns *I am also quite experienced in using general shop tools such as band saw, jig saw, skill saw, planer, jointer, table saw Materials -Long history with sculpture, fibers and ceramics. Having a large range of materials knowledge and set design experience I assist students in making pre production sets, puppets, costumes and sculptural objects for performance and installation works of art. I also have ten years of experience in ceramics from hand building large sculptures to extensive slip casting. -Collaborating with a colleague to bring 3D printed ceramic technology to our sculpture department by engineering a machine to work with a computer to extrude slip.
