CEDARS' web site at http://cedars.hku.hk/residences/admission/hallresult.html Instruction on Offer of Acceptance for SUCCESSFUL Applicants: A successful applicant who is offered a place must (1) indicate acceptance of the offer through the on-line system of the HKU Portal (https://hkuportal.hku.hk) -> Login HKU Portal -> select "SIS Menu" -> select "On-line application" -> select "Application for Resident Hall" -> select "Application Status". (2) Please collect and return the completed Lady Ho Tung Hall registration form 2016/17, student personal data form, 2 passport size photos to the Hall Office, G/F, Lady Ho Tung Hall by 5:00 p.m. on June 2, 2016. The offer of admission will be automatically withdrawn if a student fails to do so. Lady Ho Tung Hall Round I Hall Admission 2016-17 For successful candidates SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES are required to (1) accept the admission offer via the on-line system, (2) collect and return the following documents in person from the hall office, G/F, Lady Ho Tung Hall during the office hours from 0900 to 1300, 1400 to 1700 hours (Mon Fri) from 26 May to 2 June 2016. 1. No. at the back of each photo.) *If you are unable to return the documents before the deadline, you MUST provide a prior written notification to the hall office via email by lhthall@hku.hk before 1700 hours on 2 June 2016. In the email, please explain (1) the reason of unable to complete the registration before the deadline, (2) your proposed date for completing registration at the hall office IN PERSON. By accepting this offer, you are required to comply with the University Regulations Governing Halls and Internal Regulations; a copy of the Regulations Governing Halls (document 327/196) is enclosed for you. In addition, you will also authorize Lady Ho Tung Hall Office to obtain your academic result records, namely cumulative and semester GPA, from the Registry anytime during your stay in the Hall, for purposes related to advising and admission in the Hall. If you fail to complete, observe the above, or fail to accept this offer letter and provide any of the above by 1700 hrs on 2 June 2016, you would be considered as having declined the hall admission offer. The offer would be automatically withdrawn and the hall place would be offered to another applicant. Hall residents may move into the Hall on or after August 22, 2016 during office hours. Residents would be assigned a temporary room and subject to room change after the hall orientation camp on 31 August 2016. To protect the mattress, you are obligated to pay HKD50/per year upon check-in (non refundable) for the mattress protector provided by the hall. No exchange is available. However, you are advised to bring along your linen, pillow and bed cover. You are advised to comply with our hall rules and policy.
