Compensation A three-year contract will be offered with a contract salary starting at 160,000 with consideration given for preparation, qualifications, experience and record of accomplishments. Nov. 27 & 28, 2017 About the Community Frontier Central School District is located in Western New York along the Lake Erie shoreline just south of Buffalo. The Frontier community serves population of approximately 75,000 residents. The District encompasses most of the Town of Hamburg as well as a part of the Town of Eden. Frontier is a suburban community ideally situated in very close proximity to all the cultural and recreational destinations of Buffalo, Niagara Falls and southern Ontario. Frontier is also in very close proximity to many outstanding colleges and universities including the University at Buffalo, Buffalo State College, Canisius College, Fredonia State College, Hilbert College, Bonaventure University @ Hilbert College, and Niagara University. About the District The Frontier Central School District has a student population of approximately 5,000 students. The District s instructional program offers a strong foundation, concentrating on English language arts, math, social studies, science, technology, art, music, physical education and library media skills. A full continuum of special education services is offered, allowing for 91% of students with disabilities to receive their education within the District. Universal prekindergarten programs are also available to children in the District. Frontier Central High School offers opportunities for challenging course work, including 12 advanced placement courses, as well as a number of college-level courses that provide students with college credit. The District s music department is outstanding! The Music Educators National Conference has named it as one of the top 100 school systems in the country for music education for the past five years. Frontier also sponsors one of the region s largest secondary summer school programs, which is attended by students from schools across Erie County. Frontier consistently strives to remain among the top rated school districts in Western New York for its academic achievement. A University of Buffalo Effectiveness Study placed Frontier in the top quarter in areas of student achievement, school effectiveness and school efficiency, which only nine out of 101 Western New York districts were able to accomplish. Frontier has attained Honor Roll status in Business First s Honor Roll of Public School District Rankings for fifteen times since 1992.
