Centralized admissions to various Government and private self-financed colleges affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for the session 2013-2014 shall be made by the RUHS in the following courses: Post-graduate Courses 1. APPLICATION FORM FEE All candidates have to pay on-line application form fee of Rs. 1500/- (or Rs. 750/- for SC/ST category candidates) through bank challan at any branch of Oriental Bank of Commerce. The on-line application form fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-adjustable. Any plea in this matter will not be entertained. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION All residents of India fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned below can apply to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences for admission to paramedical courses in various government and private self-financed colleges affiliated to RUHS, Jaipur on the basis of instructions given in this information booklet, the relevant rules of RUHS, Jaipur and directions of Supreme Court issued in case of P.A. Inamdar v/s State of Maharashtra (2005) 6 SCC 537. 1. Educational Qualification M.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology P.G. Diploma in Perfusion Technology M.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology: 3 years degree in radiation technology/ radiotherapy technology / imaging technology with minimum 55% aggregate marks of all the three years (50% for natural born SC & ST). This duration shall be 2/3 years for inservice category candidates. Bachelor of Radiation Technology/ Bachelor of Ophthalmic Techniques / Bachelor of Prosthetic & Orthotic / Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology / B.Sc. (Medical Lab Technology) A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at the qualifying examination. Para Medical Diploma Courses A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics. P.G. Diploma in Perfusion Technology: A pass in MBBS or B.Sc. (Biology). B.Sc. (Medical Lab Technology) A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Computer Science / Biology OR Physics, Biology and Chemistry / Computer Science / Mathematics. 2. Age M.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology: A candidate must not be more than 25 years of age on or before 31 st December, 2013 (not more than 45 years for in-service candidates). There shall be relaxation of 5 years in the age limit for SC, ST candidates. P.G. Diploma in Perfusion Technology: A candidate must not be more than 25 years of age on or before 31 st December, 2013 (not more than 45 years for in-service candidates). Bachelor of Radiation Technology / Bachelor of Prosthetic & Orthotic / Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology / B.Sc. (Medical Lab Technology) A candidate must have completed the age of 17 years but not completed 28 years in case of females and 25 years in case of males Bachelor of Radiation Technology: A candidate must have completed the age of 17 years but not completed 28 years in case of females and 25 years in case of males (not more than 40 years for in-service candidates for B.R.T course) Bachelor of Ophthalmic Techniques A candidate must have completed the age of 17 years but not completed 35 years Diploma in Medical Lab Technology / Diploma in ECG Technology / Diploma in Radiation Technology / Diploma in Ophthalmology A candidate must not be more than 22 years and in case of females not more than 27 years (there shall be relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for SC, ST candidates). Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology: A candidate must have completed the age of 17 years but not completed 25 years (there shall be relaxation of 2 years in the upper age limit for SC, ST candidates) Age shall be calculated as - on or before 31 st December, 2013 Date of birth as recorded in the secondary education certificate will be treated as authentic. 3. Reservation The reservation is applicable in Govt. Colleges. The reservation of seats will be made subject to statutory provisions enacted by State of Rajasthan. Candidates seeking benefit of reservation shall be required to produce for verification, at the time of reporting at the allotted college, the caste certificate (SC, ST, Non creamy layer OBC, Non creamy layer SBC) or the additional category certificate (PH, WDP, KM, etc., if applicable) issued by the competent authority and submit attested copies of the above documents. 4. Domicile criteria Admission to the courses through RCA PMC 2013 is open to all residents of India. However, preference shall be given to candidates of Rajasthan domicile. 5. Medical fitness A candidate desirous of admission will have to deposit the medical fitness certificate at the time of reporting to the allotted college on the prescribed form certified by a medical officer of the Government of Rajasthan as per the medical standards. TENTATIVE SEAT MATRIX (2013-14) Admission in the allotted college will be made only after receiving permission of statutory bodies for the academic session 2013-14. In the Government colleges, 100% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through RCA PMC 2013 and preference will be given to candidates of Rajasthan domicile. In Government college, 2 seats in M.Sc. (RT) course shall be filled by in-service candidates. In case of non availability of in-service candidates for M.Sc. (RT) course, such seats shall be filled by non-service candidates. Candidates serving as assistant radiographer / radiographer with B.Sc (RT) qualification in Rajasthan State Government (minimum 3 years regular continuous service) and applying for M.Sc. (RT) course are required to submit NOC from the appointing authority. In Government college, 1 seat in PG Diploma in Perfusion Technology course shall be filled by in-service candidate. In case of non availability of in-service candidate for PG Diploma in Perfusion Technology course, such seat shall be filled by non-service candidate. Candidates serving as Lab Technician in CT surgery in Rajasthan State Government (minimum 3 years regular continuous service) and applying for PG Diploma in Perfusion Technology course are required to submit NOC from the appointing authority. In B.R.T. course, 25% seats shall be filled by female candidates in all categories. In case non availability of female candidates, such seats shall be filled by male candidates. In Government college, 5 seats in B.R.T. course shall be filled by in-service candidates. In case of non availability of in-service candidates for B.R.T. course, such seats shall be filled by regular candidates. Candidates serving as technician / assistant radiographer / radiographer in Rajasthan State Government (minimum 5 years regular continuous service) and applying for B.R.T course are required to submit NOC from the appointing authority. For any course, all in-service candidates are required to submit, at the address mentioned below, the original certificate on or before 10.07.2013 in person or send it by post so as to reach the RUHS (Entrance cell) on or before 10.07.2013 failing which such candidates will be considered as non-service category candidates. In private self-financed colleges, 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through RCA PMC 2013 and preference will be given to candidates of Rajasthan domicile. Remaining 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) in each private self-financed college shall be filled under management quota by respective private self-financed college (as applicable). Refer the college and course wise tentative seat matrix for the session 2013-14 at the RUHS website. FEE STRUCTURE The candidates are required to pay the prescribed fee for the course. ADMISSION TEST (For admission to UG courses and Paramedical Diploma courses) The computer based admission test will be conducted on-line (at the examination center) at Jaipur only. The details of the admission test will be available at RUHS website. Please refer to RUHS website regularly for latest update. Admission Test (Examination) scheme The computer based Admission Test shall be held in the following paper (in English language). Schedule of admission test Admission Test (computer based) will be conducted on the following date as per the programme given below: Day Date Time Sunday 23.06.2013 To be notified in the admit card. The appearance in the admission test will not confer any right upon the candidate to be admitted to the course. Each question shall have four options to answer, out of which only one shall be correct. (+1) mark shall be awarded for each correct answer, (0) mark for an incorrect answer or unattempted questions. Instructions for appearing in the admission test The Admission Test shall be held at Jaipur at examination center to be notified on RUHS website. All candidates are required to appear in the admission test at their own expenses. No TA/DA will be paid the purpose. Admit card with relevant instructions shall not be sent by post and shall be available for downloading at the RUHS website. Instructions for candidates who get supplementary / are under result awaited category Such candidates will be required to update their result from 07.07.2013 to 10.07.2013 at the website by giving their login ID and date of birth (password) failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled. ADMISISON PROCEDURE For UG courses and Paramedical diploma courses, the admissions shall be made strictly in accordance with merit list prepared on the basis of score of the admission test and the order of choices / options filled in by the candidates in the on-line application form. The candidates are advised to exercise their choices / options very carefully. For the admission test, separate instructions / guidelines will be provided to the candidates through newspapers / website etc. For PG courses, there shall be no admission test and the admissions shall be made strictly in accordance with merit list prepared on the basis of eligibility criteria and the order of choices / options filled in by the candidates in the on-line application form. The candidates are advised to exercise their choices / options very carefully. RUHS reserves the right to decide about mode of admission. The decision of RUHS shall be final and binding to all. Candidates are advised to secure information regarding the admission from the website of RUHS (www.ruhsraj.org). Important to note: If at any stage, it is found that a non-eligible candidate is admitted to a course, then the admission of such a candidate will be cancelled on such detection. A penal action may also be initiated against such candidate. Allotment of college and course The allotment of college and course shall be made by strictly following the order of merit (category wise), seats available in each course in each college and the priority of choice/option of the college and the course filled in by the candidate in the on-line application form. For UG courses and Paramedical diploma courses, candidates securing equal score in the admission test will be admitted in the following order of preference: 1. One who has higher marks in 10+2 or an equivalent examination or an equivalent examination. 2. The candidate of higher age (older candidate). 3. One who has obtained higher marks in secondary examination (10 th ) or its equivalent examination. Page 6 of 8
For PG courses, candidates securing equal aggregate marks in UG course will be admitted in the following order of preference: 1. One who has higher marks in the UG examination. 2. The candidate of higher age (older candidate). 3. One who has obtained higher marks in Senior Secondary examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination. After allotment of college and course, candidates will be informed about their allotment at RUHS website. Candidate is required to take a printout of the allotment letter using candidate login option and report at the allotted college with this printout alongwith requisite documents, in original, and prescribed fee, by the notified date. The non-viewing of the RUHS website about allotment information by the candidate shall not be accepted as a ground for non-reporting at the allotted college on the scheduled time and date. The candidate's allotment will stand automatically cancelled if he/she does not report IN PERSON to the allotted college as per notified schedule. No further allotments will be done by RUHS after this allotment. Admissions on the vacant seats, drop-out seats (allotted but not reported) shall thereafter be made by the respective colleges. Reporting at allotted college and depositing of fees & other documents At the time of reporting at the allotted college, the candidate will have to carry printout of the allotment letter. The candidate is required to deposit prescribed fee along with original and one set of attested photocopies of requisite documents. The colleges shall be provided the list of candidates allotted. The colleges shall verify the credentials of reporting candidates as per this list and check the documents and other required certificates with originals. Admissions on the vacant seats, drop-out seats and management quota seats Admissions on the vacant seats, drop-out seats (allotted but not reported) and management quota seats shall be made by the respective colleges in order of merit of the qualifying examination in a transparent manner ensuring the eligibility criteria. Candidates who get supplementary in the qualifying examination and pass the supplementary examination (after the notified date) may contact directly at any college for admission on the vacant seats, drop-out seats and management quota seats. Similarly, candidates whose result of the qualifying examination is awaited and are declared as having passed the examination may contact directly at any college for admission on the vacant seats, drop-out seats and management quota seats. No admission shall be made after 30.09.2013 or any date as notified by RUHS. The admissions shall be treated as provisional subject to the final decision of any pending case(s) in any court of law, if applicable to these admissions. Further, the provisional status of admission shall stand cleared only after enrolment by the RUHS. Page 7 of 8
The decision of the admission board shall be final and binding to all. All the judgments relevant to these admissions, passed by any Hon ble court of justice as well as rules existing at the time of making admissions will be applicable on these admissions and the candidates will have to abide compulsorily with such judgments, rules and the changes.
