INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES JAMK is an active partner in both national and international i cooperation in the area of education and R&D activities. Sixfull degree programmesare are taught inenglish English. About 300 international partners in more than 50 countries on 6 continents. More than 2 500 international degree and exchange students in the past ten years Almost 3 000 students have completed either a practical training or an exchange period abroad during the past decade. The number of visiting lecturers and experts in 2010 was 148. JAMK coordinates the Finnish i National Network for East and Southeast Asia of the Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences.

COST OF LIVING The cost of living i include e.g. accommodation, dti food, public transport, study materials, clothing, and leisure activities. Average monthly living costs for students are estimated to be about 750 euros. ONCE YOU HAVE APPLIED Your application i is forwarded dto the Sh Schoolin question, which makes the decision on the acceptance Once accepted, you receive an acceptance letter and information package (usually sent early June/Dec) Your personal student tutor will contact you via e mail, and will answer any questions you might have. ONCE IN JYVÄSKYLÄ Your student ttutor t will meet you when you arrive and bring you to your flat Your tutor will also inform you about how to get started: bring you to the department, go with you to the bank to open a bank account etc. If you do not want to bring bi your own linen and kitchen utensils, so called Survival Kits can be rented: packages with basic kitchenware, a blanket, a pillow and sheets. Activities include parties, events and trips (for example to Lapland). School of Technology organizes every semester for its exchange students a Welcome Party and few other events during the semester (ex. Hockey Game, Little Christmas Party, Cosmic Bowling) Wide variety of leisure activities to suit many tastes, for example: sports, libraries, cinemas, theatres, concerts, museums, art exhibitions, or association activities in Jyväskylä.
