RECOGNITION OF THE PREVIOUS UNIVERSITY DEGREE You must request for the recognition of your bachelor diploma at the Czech University which provides similar study modules. If you studied in economic field, recognition requirements at the University of Economics, Prague are described in this document. In case you studied in different study modules, the application requirements depend on the University where you will apply for the recognition. Please find these information at their websites; their application requirements will be partial different from the requirements of the University of Economics, Prague. The process of recognition of your previous university degree depends on the country where the diploma was issued. Countries are divided into three groups, please find the country where was your diploma issued and the exact process is described bellow the chart where the country is. 1

Application for the recognition - available at our website (download section): Application for nostrification recognition of bachelor study 2. Legalized (notarized) copy of the diploma 3. Original or legalized (notarized) copy of the transcript 4. Supplementary information confirming that the degree programme was carried out by an institution authorised to provide education comparable to higher education pursuant to Act. 2

The Academic Transcript/Report must include: A list of all courses completed during the bachelor s study ECTS credits or allocated number of class hours per week for all courses on the list Grades in all courses on the list The grading scale Transcript has to be in a form of original letter on university letterhead paper, with the signature of a responsible person and a stamp A transcript/description of all individual courses could also be required in the event of any problem in the recognition process. If the original documents (diploma and transcript) were issued in English no translation is needed. 3

Legalized/notarized copy of the diploma confirmed by the apostille - more information about the apostille and where you can receive this confirmation is available at the website http://www.hcch.net/index_en.php?act=text.display&tid=37 3. Original or legalized/notarized copy of the transcript 4. Supplementary information confirming that the degree programme was carried out by an institution authorised to provide education comparable to higher education pursuant to Act. Both documents (diploma and transcript) are required in English and have to be confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of study and the Czech embassy in the country of study.
