Correspondence Student Handbook Distance Learning

Distance Learning Charis Bible College Distance Learning 800 Gospel Truth Way Woodland Park CO 80863 719-635-6029 www.charisbiblecollege.org info@charisbiblecollege.org CBCCO @CBC_Colorado The latest version of this handbook, as well as additional information, is available at www.charisbiblecollege.org.

Welcome to Charis Bible College! Starting a Bible college was the last thing I ever thought I would do, but on June 23, 1993, I clearly heard from the Lord to start a Bible college. I was to take 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also and use it as a framework for a Bible school. Since Charis Bible College opened in 1994, the school has grown to multiple campuses around the world and has graduated thousands of students. Through Distance Learning, you can take all thirty-nine courses in Charis s firstyear curriculum. As you listen to and apply these lessons, you will be changed effortlessly and see that change influence every area of your life family, work, and ministry. Whatever God is leading you to do, preparation is never a waste of time. The investment of your time in these courses is a small price to pay for a lifetime of success. You are blessed! ANDREW WOMMACK - President & Founder

ORIENTATION Course Overview Each course contains: Eight video and/or audio lessons One course syllabus One course test Each lesson is approximately fifty minutes in length. Listen to the lesson, follow along and take notes in the course syllabus, pause, rewind, and listen as much as you d like. In this self-paced format, you ll progress through each of the eight lessons at your own pace. Once you ve finished all the lessons, complete and mail the test to Charis Bible College Distance Learning. Allow up to thirty days for your graded test to be returned in the mail. It is recommended you keep all graded tests for your records. You do not need to wait for your test to be returned before you begin your next course. Test and Course Grade The grade for the class will be based entirely on the test. To pass a course, you must obtain a test grade of 70% or greater. Typically tests are in the form of multiple-choice, true/false, and matching questions. Tests are taken on the honor system. Please do not use any notes or books, including your Bible, unless otherwise stated. Although it is the measurement in your overall grade, the test is not designed to be an academically intense exercise. It is designed to give you a tool to determine how well you retained the main concepts in the course. If you receive a test grade of less than 70%, you may retake the test one time to raise your grade to a maximum score of 70%. A retake test will be included in the return mailing of any first test that has a score of less than 70%.

WHAT DISTANCE LEARNING STUDENTS ARE SAYING I have thoroughly enjoyed taking this class. I am growing and gaining knowledge and revelation, and it is setting me free! Amy P., NC One of the best courses on prayer for me. It helped me keep my healing. Bill B., NM I was raised under legalism and could not understand grace. To be honest, I think I need to take this course five more times! But thank God I am out of the gate, pursuing grace. Hope D., KY I loved the content of this course. It was challenging, life-changing, deep, revealing, and worth every single cent. Michael G., CT [I have] great reassurances to stick with the Word and take advantage of this time of preparation as God prepares and shapes me into His image to fulfill His will for my life. God is awesome! Caleb P., NC I am learning and understanding God s Word in a way that I can remember it and use it as a plumb line in my everyday life.
