KRANTIVEER VASANTRAO NARAYANRAO NAIK Krantiveer Vasantrao Narayanrao Naik, a great visionary and son of the soil, contributed in freedom struggle of India and was known as Krantiveer Born in Sinnar Taluka of Nasik District in 1911, had revolutionary life and was fully devoted to society He was inspired by Krantisingh Nana Patil of Patri Sarkar and participated in many revolutionary activities for freedom of India Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, he participated in the Namak Satyagraha at the age of 15 & there after in many other activities of freedom struggle, for which he was sentenced to rigorous imprisonment by the British Government in the years of 1930,1932, 1939, 1942 and 1944 After his release from jail, he actively participated in the Quit India Movement under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi Many people were imprisoned, during Quit India Moment But Vasantrao Carried out the moment in a subversive way Due to his restless participation in the freedom struggle, the government decided to auction his belongings & valuables This was an attempt in vain as pepole were resilient towords the government He worked in association with Achyutrao Patwardhan, Sane Guruji and SM Joshi " Strength does not come from physical capacity It comes from an indomitable will " Mahatama Gandhi An, Excellent organizer and having served as General Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee and member of All India Congress Committee, he also successfully th organized 56 conference of All India Congress at Nasik in 1950 After independence, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, the entire organization of State Transport Mahamandal was established under his leadership as Chairman He was elected by the Legislative Assembly from the Nasik West constituency and was the youngest of Legislative Assembly in the Bombay Legislature in 1937 He breath his th last, while attending a public meeting at Bhusaval on 14 December 1968 LoGMIEER, earlier known as KVNNIEER is established and named in his memory, in the year 2011-12, which was celebrated as his birth centenary He was the patron of KVNNIER Since its inception in2011 He has supported the institute for getting all the permissions from DTE, GOM, SPPU Pune and AICTE New Delhi 2

GOPINATH PANDURANG MUNDE " Strength does not come from physical capacity It comes from an indomitable will " Mahatama Gandhi Gopinath Pandurang Munde was a popular Indian politician from Maharashtra He was a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in Narendra Modi's Cabinet, which, however, was short-lived due to sad demise rd during a tragic road disaster on 3 June 2011 He was a member of Maharashtra's Legislative Assembly (MLA) for five terms during 1980 1985 and 1990 2009 He was also the leader of opposition in the Legislative Assembly during 1992 1995 He had held the post of Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in 1995 1999 He was elected to Lok Sabha in 2009 and 2014, and served as the deputy leader of the BJP in the Lok Sabha He was appointed in Modi's cabinet and took the oath on 26 May, but died in a road accident in New Delhi a week later on 3 June 2014 He is the shortest served Cabinet minister ever in Indian history He was born in Parali, Maharashtra, on 12 December 1949, to Pandurang and Limbabai Munde in a middle class Vanjari caste farmer's family He did not have political background in his family, yet he was drawn to the students' movement in the college He became a kingmaker of sorts, ensuring victory of members of his group though he did not win an election even once during those four memorable years He got involved in politics when he met Pramod Mahajan, a friend and colleague in the college As a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, he took part in the agitation against the state of emergency imposed by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi He was incarcerated in the Nashik central jail until the emergency was lifted In 1971, he associated with the campaign of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh candidate in the Lok Sabha election in the Beed constituency He attended the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's Shiksha Varga (Training Camp) held in Punethat year Munde Saheb was appointed as President of the Maharashtra unit of the BJP's youth wing, ie the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Munde met with a road accident in the early morning of 3 June 2014, while on his way to Delhi airport He was going for his first official meeting after taking the post His funeral was held at 2pm on 4 June 2014 at his native place Parali Vaijenath near Beed Pankaja Munde, Gopinath Munde's daughter performed the last rites to her father This institute has been renamed as Loknete Gopinath Munde Institute of Engineering Education and Research in memory and as a tribute to him He has contributed immensely in the field of education and social upliftment for all the classes of society 3
