EquiLateral Protocol Training Program Course Syllabus and Outline This specialized and unique training will take participants step-by-step through the eight phases of EMDR with an equine, covering the how to s of integrating EMDR and EAP through the EquiLateral Protocol. In addition, participants will learn the integration of EMDR and EAP, as it applies to their practice, through hands-on practice sessions, online interactive lectures, Q and A discussions, coaching and in-depth reviews of case examples. Attendees will receive The Equine- Assisted EMDR Manual & Horses Hearing the Unspeakable ebooks as part of the attendance cost. Note: Training in EquiLateral and EA-EMDR does not constitute training as an EMDR practitioner nor does it constitute EMDR Certification. Certain requirements and restrictions may apply. Space is Limited! www.dragonflyinternationaltherapy.com Minimum Qualifications This training is intended for those EMDR Therapists who have completed the EMDRIA Approved EMDR Basic Training and their Equine Professional Partners OR those EMDR Therapists who are dually EAP and EMDR trained. Participants will be EquiLateral Trained at the completion of this program and upon successful completion of all course requirements. (CEU s & EMDRIA Credits are pending. Please see note section for additional information) For The EMDR Therapist (EMDRT) Documented completion of an EMDRIA Approved Basic Training, EAP certification, training, or notarized documentation of a minimum of 20 hours of experience practicing a current EAP model OR has a qualified Equine-Specialist/Professional partner in attendance for the entire course. Note: EMDR therapists trained prior to 2007 are to be well versed in the most recent updates to EMDR and the Adaptive Information Processing model including case-conceptualization skills such as target sequence planning (EMDR Treatment Planning), as well as being well-versed in the three-pronged approach, and EMDR s eight phases. For The Equine Professional (EP) EAP certification, training, or notarized documentation of a minimum of 20 hours of experience practicing a current EAP model. If the EP is not dually trained as an EMDRT, an EMDRT partner must be in attendance for the entire course.
