MANY THANKS! A special thanks goes out to the seven members of The K-State Black Student Union Freshman Action Team and Mark Whitehair who volunteered three hours of their time on April 2 doing a major area beautification project at the K-State recycling center. The group removed old brush, mulch, rebuilt the current limestone walls and placed more than 5.5 tons of donated rock in front of the center. A job well done and appreciated by all. Thank you, Bill Spiegel, Program Manager The employees of Seaton Hall would like to say thank you to Wanda Scott, Custodial Specialist, for all she does to make their building look great!

HAVE YOU HEARD? Many of you may have noticed a new addition to the breakrooms of Dykstra Hall and the Power Plant. There is now a Suggestion Box on the wall in both breakrooms and we want to hear from you! Please share any ideas you have. When making your submission, please keep the following criteria in mind: Anyone is eligible to participate. Please sign your name. Anonymous suggestions may not receive proper follow-up. Please take the time to ensure your suggestion is clear and understandable. Please avoid making criticisms or complaints about others. Suggestions will be reviewed by the Facilities Leadership Team each week. Suggestion of the Month: Return the canned soda machine back into the breakroom in Dykstra Hall Response: Unfortunately, 5-Star Vending has no plans to return the vending machine to the Dykstra breakroom due to low sales. The vending machine had such little activity that 5-Star has had to throw cans of pop away that had expired. Their sales staff has suggested they may consider re-stocking the bottled pop vending machine more than once a week if it is running out before they re-stock on Fridays. Needing some inspiration to get the creative juices flowing? Here are some starting points for developing your next great idea! Try thinking of a new way to improve your own work and/or work environment create efficiencies in energy, labor, materials, and other resources improve work operations, practices, and/or policies increase customer satisfaction improve tools and equipment improve work environment to increase safety increase efficiency offer your own idea!
