2016 Alumni Lisa Smith, Kennesaw State University "The first day here we were immediately thrown into the culture and the adventure had begun. I have never felt so warm and welcomed anywhere else as I do here, and still can't get over how kind and compassionate the people are here. São Paulo is a vibrant city with lots to do and people who have an energy that is incredible. Ricardo Arias, University of Puerto Rico São Paulo has been more than welcoming. I feel really cared for and the work experience has been challenging without feeling impossible, in such a way that I feel that my skills are put to the test everyday. It helps that my coworkers are very nice and willing to make the extra effort to transcend the cultural differences that exist between us.
2016 Alumni Lucas Gallo, Stevens Institute of Technology I decided to do this program in the first place because I wanted to experience the culture of another country, but it was also really important for me to have some sort of way of showing potential employers that I am willing to adapt to new situations and take on challenges in stride. Alexandria Seward, Denison University Not even my late night fantasies about Brazil could compare to the actual experience of living and working here. My first week was spent with some of the most authentic, entertaining and adventurous group of people (that I now call friends) I have ever met. I was offered an amazing opportunity to intern with one of the most prominent transnational real-estate event planners.
