POSITIONS WITH UNITED NATIONS Conducted a study for United Nations Economic Commission for Africa entitled "Improvement of Pedestrian and Child Safety in Urban Areas". The study culminated into a technical report published as a UN Document in both English and French. And distributed to all African member countries. Participated as a member representing Egypt inanadhoc Expert Group Meeting. The purpose of which was to come up with a road safety program for the UNECA to adopt within the framework of second United Nations Transport and Communications Decade in Africa.

CONSULTANCY EXPERIENCE & TRACK RECORD Involved in more than 150 transport, traffic & logistics consultancy and research projects and studies with SMEC Australia, RTA Dubai, ENIT Egypt, United Nations organizations, World Bank University of Westminster as well as with a number of Egyptian, Saudi & UK research centers/consultants.

These projects were conducted in Australia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Dubai Lebanon, Turkey, Yemen, Algeria, Morocco, Qatar, and Kenya for different clients. These projects/studies covered areas of transport policy, planning & appraisals, traffic engineering and modeling, traffic safety, public transport & logistics management, costing, performance evaluation, Public Private Partnership, Privatization, etc..

TEACHING-TRAINING-SUPERVISION-RESEARCH Taught more than 30 specialized academic undergraduate and graduate courses as well as designed and delivered more than 35 training courses to students/professionals and senior managers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Ex Soviet union countries, Australia & Dubai. Supervised 28 graduate diploma projects, 6 MS.c. dissertations & 2 PhD as well as a big number of final year undergraduate d projects covering multidisciplinary & wide-ranging planning & engineering topics. A strong research & publication record of more than 95 internationally published journal articles & conference papers covering areas of transport policy, planning & appraisals, logistics management, costing, performance evaluation, ITS, traffic engineering & modeling, traffic safety, public transport, etc.
