1. Studying abroad: why should I go? 5 reasons for a stay abroad 1. Change your perspective and you get to know who you are 2. A like albóndigas and Z like Zabalglione 3. 2. What to do? The EUF has more than 100 partner universitities in 35 countries What does partner university mean: - we have bilateral agreements and you don t have to pay tuition fees - in Europe: automatically registered for Erasmus+ (all countries in Europe except of Switzerland but including Norway, Turkey) - We have good contacts to the International Offices

2. What to do? How to find a partner university which corresponds to my studies? http://www.uni-flensburg.de/en/ The choice is up to you! Please check at this stage the course catalogue

You can apply for three universitities At all universities you will need a B2 level of language of instruction (at the time of application B1 for Spanish (IM students)) check language courses at our Language Center (free of cost) http://www.uni-flensburg.de/en/ After your choice Check the requirements for Visa Check the required vaccinations

3. Let s talk about money: way of financing In Europe you will get ERASMUS+ (the grant depends on the country of destination; between 150 and 270 Euro per month and paid for 3 or 4 month) Auslandsbafög DAAD - BA students: Jahresstipendien für Studierende aller wissenschaftlicher Fächer (check application deadlines (at about one year before you leave) - BA and MA students: Kombinierte Studien- und Praxissemester im Ausland (the internship has to be part of the curriculum of your studies ) [ please check the website of the DAAD for requirements and apply directly at the DAAD] Bildungskredit of the german government KfW Studienkredit

4. How to apply? 1. From the 1st of november until the 10th of january you may apply at our link (Page # 10403) http://www.uni-flensburg.de/en/international/going-abroad/students/application/ (one motivation letter for all three universitities) 2. February: Offer of a place at the university (limited places) you have to accept or reject 3. February: Nomination we 4. 4. How to apply? ERASMUS+ All partner universitites in Europe (except of Switzerland but including Norway, Turkey) No tuition fees Financial grant varies (between 150 and 270 Euro per month) six ERASMUS-mails (please check your inbox) with different information and documents to hand in; please read the mails carefully and hand in the documents as required) You will have to hand in a so called Grant Agreement (in original); it is the financial contract, all other documents via scan You will have to do a language test before and after the mobility which does not affect the grant The Learning Agreement has to be signed from you, the coordinator and the partneruniversities before leaving (to be send via scan)

Free Mover You can go as a Free Mover You will have to pay tuition fees (at about 2000 Euro per semester) You will have to apply on your own Don t forget to sign a Learning Agreement before leaving There are institutions who help you finding a university in Australia, New Zealand, Asia (check the costs before) Event for Free Movers : When: 30 November at 14.15 in HEL 160

6. Internships In Europe - you can apply for ERASMUS+ internship grant - grant depends on the country of destination (between 270 and 390 per month) - minimum stay of 60 days - you have to find an internship on your own - you can apply all the year long at our online link Out of Europe - you can apply for PROMOS - 300/400 Euro per month - you can apply twice a year (1.01 and 1.7) - grade average of minimum 2.5 - language knowledge
