International Business NBC Televison, Los Angeles, CA I came to the United States from Sweden and attended Berkeley College. I had no plans whatsoever to stay here but I just fell in love with New York. People ask me: Why Berkeley? The answer is simple: very small classes; professors very helpful, talking to you after class; having a department where you can go for help with classes; great support. I graduated from Berkeley in September with a 3.9 GPA. For me a diverse student body was very valuable: people from different backgrounds and different countries, different cultures all bring a different perspective to group discussions or discussions in class. One professor was very helpful in choosing the career path I am on now: he taught my Media Impact on Society class. I started an internship with NBC in New York. Then I interviewed with the bureau chief at the Today Show in LA and was accepted into the Page Program about a month after I graduated. 3 Berkeley College

Not many colleges can match that accomplishment! GRADUATE PROFILE: Trudy Daly B.B.A. Business Administration Management Duke University Law Student The world is bigger than my native Trinidad and Tobago and I wanted a whole new culture. Berkeley s New York City location was exactly what I was seeking. I wanted to start my career quickly. Berkeley s accelerated program allowed me to complete my Bachelor s degree in only three years. Career Services was very helpful. They found an internship for me in the legal department of The New York Times. This internship gave me the opportunity to discover that I was interested in law. Both this internship and the faculty provided real-world experience and prepared me with the knowledge and skills I need to achieve my goals. I am proud to say that my undergraduate experience at Berkeley prepared me to take my next step. I received a full scholarship to attend Duke University School of Law. 5 Berkeley College
