New Member Showcase Judy Stewart, P.A. 352-742-4777 Judy has been involved with the Lake County Judicial system since 1988. Currently, she is sole practitioner at the Law Office of Judy A. Stewart, P.A. where she has been in private practice serving Lake County since 2009. Before opening her own practice, Judy worked as a legal assistant for more than 17 years for another local attorney, interned at the Public Defender s Office while attending school, and a summer internship with a local family law attorney. In these roles, Judy has handled many cases in the areas of family law and criminal law. It is the real world experience and expertise that motivates Judy s intent to enter the race for Lake County Judge. After having spent the last 28 years of my life working with the Lake County legal system, I believe my legal experiences, life experiences and levelheadedness qualifies me to hold the office of county judge. I believe that serving as the peoples judge is the next appropriate step in my career of giving back to my community and helping those who find themselves involved in the legal system. I am honest, fair, and intend to utilize my skills of common sense in enforcing the laws of Lake County and the State of Florida. Stewart earned her undergraduate degrees at Lake Sumter State College and Warner University and her law degree from FAMU College of Law. She is married to Steve Stewart and is the mother of an adult daughter, Amanda. Ms. Stewart has submitted her paperwork to run in 2016 election, officially launching her campaign to replace current Judge Donna Miller who is retiring in 2016. The Primary election will be held August 30th. votejudystewart.com
