In June 2008 first in the city on the Neva a large international exhibition of artistic dolls and bears DOLL TIME 1 was held. The exhibition showed the works from various Russain cities and different countries of the world. Thousands of people who visited an exposition in the historical hall in old building of Saint-Petersburg Artists Union, discovered a new kind of art and creative work; and, judging by responses, liked and accepted it. The exhibition had a fantastic success in cultural life of the north capitals and demonstrated a colossal interest to doll theme among audience, artists, gallerys owners. 1

Exhibition hall of Saint-Petersburg artists union is one of the most well-known and prestigious places in city's art and cultural life. For ages memorable events and performances connected to the cultural life of Russia took place here: first house proprietor, Elagin, empowered to act for Ekaterina II, organized mason gatherings, D. Phonvizin and A. Sumarokov acted here, «German comedy house» gave its performances here, Kaliostro was conducting his scandal experiments. Since 1877 the building was given to the Arts Encouragement Society. The exhibitions in the house of Saint-Petersburg artists were visited by Alexander II, Alexander III, Nicolas II, members of emperor's family, ministers, foreign assemblers, and guests of high rank. The end of XIX century memorized distinguished exhibitions of mobile exhibitions and world of Skilled Craftsmen Association. The prestigiousness of the exhibitions in the exhibition halls of Saint-Petersburg artists union have been kept during the next centuries as well. Conditions of participation in the exhibition DOLL TIME: 1. Registration fee in the amount of 1000 rubles. The fee implies the deposition of lower-case information about the participant in the Catalogue; cards for stand's members (1 card for 2 square meters); participation in exhibition advertising company; a diploma of participation. 2. Participation in two variants: An exclusive offer: Variant «HALL» - a rent of one of four suite exhibition halls. Space of suggested hall is 90 square meters. Hall special price - 90 000 rubles. «STAND» variant: a rent of exhibition stand. Rent - from 1 square meter. A construction can be 2 or 1 meter depth; the number of 1-meter and 2-meter stands is fixed and will be reserved for participants as far as applications come. A cost of 1 square meter - 2500 rubles. Standard construction is included in rent - three walls: 2 side ones and one back wall, frieze, light, wall outlet, rubbish bin, hanger, guarding. Stand equipment (showcases, podiums, tables, shelves etc.) is paid extra. Variant «TABLE»: a rent of exhibition table (60х120 см) - 2000 rubles «SOLO» variant: exhibition of separate works in the exposition «Solo» - independent project with consult manager and the design of the whole exhibition space. Price for participation - 1000 rubles for an item. 30% of work price if sold must be given to exhibition organizational committee. 3. For the exhibition a Catalogue will be published in the form of illustrated part of annual anthology «Dolls and bears as a present». Edition 2 000 items. For the publication in the Catalogue the following information should be provided: - full and exact name of your organization \ Name of the artist; - post address, phone number, e-mail, web-site; - Name of the organization director; - type and basic directions of the activity. - last names of the artists, whose dolls will be exhibited (for creative unions). Text size not more than 600 badges. Electronic photos 300 dpi Each photo has to have detailed inscription: name of the author, city, country, edition, material, date of issue, and height in cm. Finished modules, appropriate to the Catalogue size, are accepted.
