Y esterday, Camas County voters approved a supplemental $50,000 tax levy to augment state funding for the Camas County School district. The vote of approval amounted to 69% of the vote 230 to 103 -- confirming the historic pattern of Camas County voter nods for supplemental school funding. The levy approved yesterday will deliver a $50,000 increase. The one-year tax bump, according to Superintendent Jim Cobble, will be used to compensate for the major reduction in state support as well as drastic reduction in federal forest revenues, offsetting recent deficit spending in the school s technology budget.
