president s message Welcome to the 2011 Midwest Podiatry Conference! Whether this is your first time attending the conference or you ve been coming for 30 years, you will find this year s conference an exceptional experience and an incredible value. The Conference has always strived to provide an educational experience second to none. This experience extends not only to podiatrists but to podiatric assistants and other staff. The assistants program continues to be an important part of the Conference and is a tremendous opportunity for any practitioners who bring staff members to this meeting. Recently, the Board Review Course offered during the Conference has grown to become a popular and valued part of the Conference. Podiatrists taking the Boards for the first time, getting ready for recertification, or just wanting to review a particular topic, all agree that this course provides the necessary information in a well-organized, concise format. The large exhibit hall is another important aspect of the Conference. This hall provides one of the biggest venues for doctors and assistants to see the latest technology and innovations that affect the profession. There is also ample time for one on one discussions with vendors to answer any questions you may have regarding products and services that will benefit your practice. All of this is provided in the center of Chicago at the Hyatt Regency. Not only is this a great setting for the Conference, Chicago also provides endless opportunities for family members who come along. Finally, thank you to the attendees and exhibitors who continue to make this conference such a huge success each year. We look forward to seeing you March 3-6, 2011! More than malpractice insurance. >>> WE DO IT ALL. PICA has provided podiatric physicians professional liability protection for over 30 years. Did you know PICA can also support your practice with other business insurance needs and retirement planning programs, and can provide assistance for maintaining or growing your podiatric group practice? Stop by booths 500/502 at the Midwest Podiatry Conference to learn how PICA can assist you. Enjoy the conference, Steven Wachter, DPM, President MPC Board of Directors mission statement Promote the art and science of podiatric medicine and the betterment of public health through an annual program of continuing education and other professionally oriented instruction for member podiatric physicians.
