NEW BUSINESS: FURNITURE DONATION TO ABRAHAM LINCOLN SCHOOL Upon a motion by Mrs. Elliott, seconded by Mr. Rooney, the Board of Education unanimously approved the following resolution: RESOLVED, that Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith have generously donated a leather couch to the Abraham Lincoln school to be used in the student recreation area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Education accepts this gift with much appreciation. MONETARY DONATION TO JOHN F. KENNEDY SCHOOL Upon a motion by Mr. Marino, seconded by Mr. Wilkinson, the Board of Education unanimously approved the following resolution: RESOLVED, that the Board of Education will accept a check for $1,181.20 from Box Tops for Education program. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that this check will be deposited into the JFK Spirit Account. SECOND READING AND Upon a motion by Mr. Wilkinson, seconded by Mr. Marino, APPROVAL the Board of Education unanimously approved the following POLICY # 8505 resolution: Meal Charge RESOLVED, that this policy shall be included as accepted and adopted by the Board of Education and placed in the Board of Education policy manual. Policy #8505 Meal Charge CONTRACT FOR DISCOUNTED MEDICAL NETWORK Upon a motion by Mrs. Elliott, seconded by Mr. Wilkinson, the Board of Education unanimously approved the following resolution: RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approve the contract Between the Board of Education, the CSEA Stratigic Benefit Trust, and Transparent health Insurance Group, LLC which provides for a discounted medical network for certain employees of the School District, at no cost to the School District, and it is further RESOLVED, that the President of the Board of Education is authorized to sign the agreement on behalf of the Board. 1/25/11 Minutes Page 3
