How do I register for an Online Course? Go to our webpage at www.socialwork.msu.edu/ceu and click Online Continuing Education Courses below the Quick Links heading. Click on the course you wish to take, print off the pdf for detailed directions and follow the listed steps. You will submit the registration form with your post-test and payment AFTER you have completed the course. How do I complete a course? With the exception of the School Social Work Courses, go to our webpage at www.socialwork.msu.edu/ceu and click Online Continuing Education Courses below the Quick Links heading. Will my state licensing board approve on-line courses as an approved format for obtaining continuing education credits? All courses offered by MSU School of Social Work Continuing Education are approved by ASWB ACE. Please check with your Social Work State Board for rules and regulations regarding online continuing education, as they vary by state. You have unlimited access to the course material and may view it as many times as you wish. We are unable to offer additional CECH s for extra time you spend with the course material. Once you submit a passing post-test, you will receive the advertised CECH s for the course. What score do I need to pass? 75% or higher is required to pass each course. How many times can I take the post-test? You may retake the test 3 times within 45 days of submitting the first test to our office. We will notify you via e mail at the e mail address you supply on your post-test if you need to resubmit the test. What are the post-tests like? The post-tests are multiple choice, true/false and fill in the blank questions. There are 10 questions for the first CECH and 5 questions for each additional CECH. For example, a 1 CECH course would have 10 questions. How do I obtain my certificate? After you complete the post-test, evaluation and mail in the registration form and payment, a MSU School of Social Work Program staff will grade your post test within 10 business days of the postmark on your mailed material or the date on your fax. When you pass by 75%, expect to receive a mailed certificate within a total of 4 weeks. In the event you do not pass, we will send you an email within 10 business days of the receipt of your material at which time you will have 45 days from the first date of our receipt of your materials to resubmit the post test.
