Newcastle University Business School (NUBS) Contact Shelagh Cauwood Shelagh.Cauwood@ncl.ac.uk James Wade James.Wade@ncl.ac.uk All students must meet the following criteria: 1. any specified pre-requisites must be broadly satisfied (i.e. students prior studies equip them to take the modules). Relevant prerequisites are detailed on the module catalogue; 2. the modules selected do not present timetable clashes; 3. there is adequate physical capacity some modules may need to be capped in terms of student numbers. The following modules are available to incoming Exchange and Study Abroad students: (i) Business School students, i.e. students who applied to and have been accepted by the Business School can select up to 60 credits per semester (total of 120 credits for full year exchange students) and a minimum of 40 credits per semester; (ii) Non-Business School Students, Students who are registered with other Schools in the University can only study a maximum of 20 credits of Business School modules from following menu and exclude those modules specified as being for Students registered with NUBS only. Important information for any student selecting Business School modules: Many Business School modules are taught in the new Business School building which is located near Newcastle United Football Club s stadium (football ground) which is a 15 minute walk from the main campus. This may create timetabling issues as modules are set on the half hour to allow for transit, but a one hour lecture takes two hours out of the timetable. Furthermore, a number of NUBS modules run across both semesters, i.e. the full year, and this can present problems for students who want to study with us for one semester only. However, an increasing number of NUBS modules have been designed specifically for students who are only with us for one semester but there is a more limited availability of such modules for semester 2. The module menu overleaf shows all the modules available to please take note that some are only available to students registered with the Business School.
