Innovation Village: Building Tradition Great university tradition begins with the bond that unites students with their professors and classmates. Casual and social interactions grow into shared experiences that create lifelong friendships, lasting memories and loyal commitment to one s alma mater. A top priority at Florida Atlantic University is to provide programs and places that will heighten the traditional university experience for our students and all members of the FAU community. Innovation Village is a key component of the University's vision. To be constructed on the northern end of the Boca Raton campus, Innovation Village will offer unique opportunities for living, learning, dining, shopping, having fun and building tradition. The Boca Raton campus central Breezeway will serve as the gateway to Innovation Village. Construction is now under way on two important neighboring projects, a student recreation/fitness center and the Marleen and Harold Forkas Alumni Center. Planning has already begun for the housing and retail components of Innovation Village. The centerpiece of Innovation Village is the 30,000-seat football stadium that will make the fanfare, festivities and traditions of Division I football come alive at FAU. Bring It Home is the campaign to secure the private funding that is essential to building FAU s football stadium and creating campus tradition through student life and athletics. 1.

FAU Football: To Believe is to be Strong In 1998, FAU Football began with the clear purpose of giving Florida s promising young student-athletes a greater opportunity to play top-level college football. The goal was ambitious: build a football program in three short years, with the Owls scheduled to take the field in 2001. To make the dream of FAU Football a reality, Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Howard Schnellenberger staked claim to the FAU Territory and, with a core coaching staff on board, began recruiting the inaugural team of 2001. Complementing start-up funding provided by student fees, more than 100 philanthropists stepped forward as Founders with donations of $50,000 or more. Their belief, commitment and generosity (Founders' gifts ultimately topped $12 million) enabled FAU to expand the coaching and administrative staff, recruit the inaugural team, purchase strength and training equipment, build the Tom Oxley Athletic Center and Practice Field, and begin advertising tickets. FAU students of that time, Founders and more than 2,000 Owl Club members always will be heralded as the prime movers of the campaign to make the vision of FAU Football come alive. Each year since 2000, 100 young men compete nationally for Florida Atlantic University. These players: set an NCAA record by reaching the Division I-AA semifinals faster than any other football team in history ranked #4 in the nation in their third season of Division I-AA competition advanced from Division I-AA to Division I-A competition in their fourth season were 24-point underdogs who defeated the University of Hawaii in the fourth season defeated Minnesota in the seventh season, becoming the first Sun Belt team to win against a Big Ten powerhouse faced strong non-conference opponents including Connecticut, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Louisville, Minnesota, Clemson, Kansas State, South Carolina, South Florida, Kentucky, Hawaii and the national champion Florida Gators scheduled Texas, Michigan State and Nebraska for future games symbolize the true purpose of FAU football: to give student-athletes in the State of Florida a greater opportunity to play top-level college football won the 2007 Sun Belt Conference Championship made NCAA history as the fastest start-up program to reach a bowl game defeated the Memphis Tigers 44-27 in the New Orleans Bowl in December 2007, setting five New Orleans Bowl records 3.

The Dream Lives On: Bring It Home The Owls are poised to make their mark at the next level of competition by consistently outperforming Division I Sun Belt opponents Arkansas State, Florida International, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Middle Tennessee State, North Texas, Troy and Western Kentucky. Our goals are clear. We will: bring the Owls home from Dolphin and Lockhart stadiums by raising the funding necessary to break ground for FAU Stadium, their own permanent home continue our course to bring home the Sun Belt Conference Championship consistently bring home a bowl game championship consistently strengthen our team to bring home more wins against nationally ranked, non-conference teams bring FAU Football home in 2010 to FAU Stadium on the Boca Raton campus before a sell-out, standing-room-only crowd of 30,000fans as the Owls host Michigan State The dream lives on: Bring the Owls home to dominate the Sun Belt! When the Owls Bring It Home, recognition, tradition and pride in FAU will soar, and FAU will be positioned to receive a future invitation to join a BCS conference. 5.

Be Part of It: Owl Club Membership The Owl Club provides operational funding that is vital to each of FAU s 18 NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports. Owl Club members give annually to provide financial assistance for scholarships, academic support, uniforms, equipment, team travel and other critical areas. Be Part of It: Premium Seating Suites 20 luxury suites in FAU Stadium are being planned to include 18 seats and standing room for an additional six fans, as well as football game tickets and parking. Suites may be leased as follows: 7-year lease $45,000 annually 5-year lease $50,000 annually 3-year lease $55,000 annually $10,000 is required as a deposit and will be placed against the final year s lease payment. To secure priority status for suite leasing, it is recommended that an individual or organization make a one-time gift of $25,000 or more to FAU Stadium and join the Owl Club as a member of the Director's Club with an annual gift of $12,500. 17.

Club Seats may be leased as follows: $1,750 per seat annually 3-year minimum term $1,000 deposit is required and will be placed against the final year s payment To secure priority status for Club Seat leasing, it is strongly recommended that an individual or organization make a one-time gift of $250 or more to FAU Stadium and join the Owl Club as a member of the Red Owl Club with an annual gift of $500. Priority Seats Priority Seats in FAU Stadium will provide fans with chair-back seating.
