Since most of us will not be able to locate our Lake Hickory Shag Club membership card, Godfrey s will have a list of the membership and may ask you for some form of ID to get the reduced cover charge. I hope that all of you will join me in making this a most successful venture for the Shag Club and for Godfrey s Ramblin and Rumblin Don Morgan President This is the week we make the switch from the Holiday Inn Round Wheels Lounge to Godfrey s on Center Street. Mike Godfrey wants the Lake Hickory Shag Club to have our parties at his establishment because we meet the demographics he wants for clientele. We have helped Mike s business on a usually slow night, Wednesday, to become a good night for the restaurant and bar. Now the challenge is Saturday night. We will have additional parties this year and next because we have committed to Mike Godfrey that will be in his restaurant on the first, third and fifth Saturday of each month. Remember the DJ will start at 9:00 PM, so you will have time for dinner at Godfrey s before the shagging starts. What an opportunity to grow the shag club, and the friendships we all have within the shag club. I told you last month that the cover charge for Lake Hickory Shag Club members on Saturday nights at Godfrey s will either be $2.00 ( $1.00 less than the Holiday Inn used Party On! PEOPLE TO REMEMBER Keeping them in our thoughts & prayers Judy Boston on the recent passing of her mother Steve Coley on the recent passing of his mother Bill Walton on the recent passing of his uncle If you know of a club member that is sick, in the hospital or suffers a loss, please notify Pat Crawford at work (345-6455) or at home (324-7101).
