Course work programmes taught in English The ETP engineering degree programme includes two specializations mainly taught in English in the areas of : uclear Civil Engineering There will be a 60% increase of the number of nuclear power plants in the world by the year 030. uclear energy offers a response to the fast growing needs for energy supply in the coming 50 years and has to meet important industrial challenges: design of new generation power plants; operating and dismantling the existing buildings with a strong emphasis on safety and waste management according to the demanding criteria of sustainable development. The uclear Civil Engineering programme is part of the ETP Chair which combines teachinginnovation-research in close partnership with companies that sponsor the activities. Representatives from top level French firms participate actively in the teaching [AREVA, EDF, EGI, QUILLE COTRUCTIO (BOUYGUE GROUP), UVIA (VICI Group), RAZEL-BEC, PIE BATIGOLLE, TRACTEBEL EGIEERIG (GDF-UEZ Group)]. ustainable Buildings & Cities Aims: To measure the energetic performance and environmental impact of buildings and infrastructures. To redefine the characteristics and performance of materials, including their use, durability and recycling. To solve problems linked to issues such as energy, ecology, users comfort. To adapt the project management, design criteria, building process and maintenance to an approach that takes into account the overall cost and lean modeling. To re-think urban planning, real estate valorization, These coursework programmes are taught at master s level. Bachelor students with a good knowledge of civil engineering basics (strength of materials, concrete construction, ) may follow the lectures. Evening classes in French language are a compulsory complement to the courses taught in English for foreign students. uccessful students are awarded an institutional certificate. The lectures take place from the end of ovember to the end of February. The taught programme may be completed by a 4 month final overall project (thesis) during the second semester. /8

Research projects supervised in French or English Foreign students are also welcome to participate in the research activities of the ETP while working at the same time on their bachelor, master s or PhD thesis. They may be supervised by ETP professors in French and in English. The minimum duration of the stay should be 4 months, at any time of the academic year or during summer. A certificate may be issued at the end of the research period. The ETP research activities are carried out in the framework of the Constructibility Research Institute. The research team is working transversely in two groups: Constructibility, Materials, Projects Constructibility, Multicriteria, Modeling Topics of particular interest are: road and cement materials; soil mechanics, scour & erosion; civil engineering structures; constructibility & energy efficiency in buildings; geographical information system; building information modelling; risk management. 7/8
Enrolment & Tuition fees on refundable enrolment fees for all programmes: 300 Tuition fees per coursework semester: 5.000 Tuition may be waived for students from an institution having a reciprocal exchange agreement with the ETP. Contact your home university for information. Tuition fees per project work semester: individual rates according to project and industrial partnerships / scholarships & internship allowances available tudent life The ETP international relations department assists foreign students with all practical formalities (enrolment, residency permit, choice of courses, ) and provides housing offers (on or off campus as well as private accommodation in town). A dedicated student association, R ITER, helps foreign students adapt to their life in France and at the ETP. The ETP engineering students run a very active association, BLOC ETP, that organizes many cultural, sporting, leisure activities as well as major professional events where students may meet engineers and managers from all kinds of companies. LOCATIO AD COTACT The ETP benefits from two campuses, one in central Paris where adult education programmes take place and one in the close outhern suburbs (Cachan) where all teaching and research activities are organized. Courses taught in English benefit from the green and peaceful environment of the seven hectare campus at Cachan, within a stone s throw from the animated cultural and social central Parisian life. Apart from the lecture rooms, the campus includes a specialized library, laboratories, practical workshop facilities as well as two student residences and a student restaurant and sports facilities. The Paris city centre, both Roissy/Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports and railway station Gare du ord are easily reached by direct commuter express train (line RER B ).
