GERMAN Intensive These courses enable you to improve your German through successive levels of proficiency from beginner to advanced. You learn thoroughly and effectively in groups of around 10-16 participants. All courses are taught in German from the first lesson onwards and our teachers are specially trained for this purpose. The courses systematically develop your reading, listening, speaking and writing skills using varied and communicative teaching methods. The programme also prepares you for studying at a German university. The course fee is calculated by adding together the fees for the individual courses. However, combined courses are only available for students studying level B1 or higher. * Attend courses over three successive months on the dates indicated.

Studying in Germany We help you to organise your German courses quickly and effectively and prepare you for your degree studies and telc C1 Hochschule or DSH language exam (university entry exam). We regularly hold telc exams at our school. We offer regular preparation for the telc exams in intensive courses. Preparation course telc C1 Hochschule 9.00 am - 12.30 pm or 1.30 pm - 5.00 pm including one-to-one training for the oral exam. 4 weeks: 360 Private tuition The opportunity to learn German entirely based on your own needs and schedule. 45 / unit (45 mins.) Cultural programme We offer all course participants a supplementary cultural programme (visits, excursions etc). Information is available on the culture board in the foyer of the language school. Visa If you require a visa for a language course in Germany, you must subscribe to a course that involves at least 20 units (of 45 minutes) a week. If your visa application is declined, we will refund the course fee (minus an administration charge of 50) provided you send us a copy of the rejection letter. TANDEM We organise a TANDEM language partner scheme to connect Germans who want to learn a foreign language and foreign students who want to learn German. Registration The language courses at the Zentrum für deutsche Sprache und Kultur e.v. are subsidised by the City of Frankfurt and the Federal State of Hesse. The course fees above therefore only apply to participants who live in the region and apply in person at the language school.
Course levels and exams Our proficiency levels and exams correspond to the Council of Europe s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF). Each level takes 8-12 weeks. You will receive a certificate at the end of your course if desired. You may complete levels A1, B1, B2 and C1 by taking an exam (certificate in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Exam fee for A1: 60, B1, B2 and C1: 120. You can also prepare for the German language proficiency test for university entry (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang DSH) or take a telc-c1-hochschule exam to enable you to apply to university directly. We are licensed by the telc Institute to hold telc C1 Hochschule exam and further telc exams. Exams are held regularly. Dates on request. Examination fee: 200. Exams of the ZENTRUM: German certificate A1 / B1 / B2 / C1 Requirements for studying with us 1. Please visit our registration office during our office hours for a short placement test. 2. Courses are aimed at adults and require your regular participation and constructive collaboration. We are unable to refund the course fee once the course has begun. If you wish to cancel or rebook your place on a course, you must do so at least two weeks before the course begins. In each case, an administration fee of 30 will be charged for rebooking, or 50 for cancellation. If you have been granted a special visa to attend a German course, participation is mandatory. In most cases it is not possible to cancel. If you register for a two-week course, the course fee will be 60%, for a three-week course 80% of the fee for a four-week course. All information and prices are provided without guarantee. Courses and fees may be subject to change throughout the course of the year. Occasional lesson cancellations due to particular events will not be refunded. If we are forced to cancel a course, we will refund course fees that have already been paid. We shall not be held liable for any additional claims. 10. GDPR: Your data will be used solely for course administration purposes and will not be passed on.
