GOOD CHARACTER & CITIZENSHIP 50% of our Club teens volunteer in the community at least once every month. HEALTHY LIFESTYLES 60% of Club members ages 9 and older get at least an hour of physical activity five or more days a week. 2 GREAT FUTURES START HERE.

SEE the impact Alphonso was headed down a destructive path. He felt like he had no allies, no options, and no future. Then he opened the Club door. Just two years ago, Alphonso was headed down a destructive path. With two parents who worked long hours to support him and his three siblings, Alphonso often found himself feeling angry and alone. Failing grades, numerous school suspensions, and a dangerous peer group left his family fearing for not only his future, but his life. That s when Alphonso opened the Club door. With support and guidance from caring staff members, Alphonso began to slowly transform. Staff members helped him with his academics and gave him the encouragement and motivation he needed to work harder in school. His self-esteem improved, he began developing positive friendships, and even applied for a job at the Club as a summer youth employee. With his hard-earned income, Alphonso purchased food for kids at the Club in need, and even took the initiative to ensure that younger members got home safely at the end of the day. Because of the Club, Alphonso feels hopeful about his future. I feel real good about the way I changed, and I feel good about myself, he says. Alphonso continues to come to the Club each day, giving hope to thousands of youth in our community, who like Alphonso, deserve a Great Future.
