TABLE 1 FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE FEES, UNIVERSITY MAIN CAMPUSES Fall Term 2011 *The other fees reported in the Fall Survey include mandatory fees assessed uniformly to all students which meet each of the following criteria: they are in fact mandatory, not included in the general fee, and are charged each term. The latter may include facility fees, technology fees, parking fees, or other mandatory fees. 1. Off-campus students are billed an additional $66 per semester for the technology fee. 2. Shawnee State has a reciprocity agreement with Kentucky such that it considers residents of Mason, Lewis, Boyd, Greenup, Carter, Elliot, Lawrence, Fleming & Rowan counties in Kentucky as qualifying for Ohio resident tuition. 4. Effective Fall 2008, the University of Akron redesigned a non-mandatory parking fee into a transportation fee that is charged to all full-time students. Since the transportation fee is paid by all full-time students, it appears in the Regent's annual survey as a general fee. The transportation fee, however, is not uniformly assessed to all students and therefore not subject to the legislative mandate restricting (instructional and general) fee increases at Ohio's public colleges and universities. 5. Youngstown State has a separate out-of-state Western Pennsylvania Advantage surcharge of $105.12 for students in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie, Lawrence, Mercer and Venango counties in Pennsylvania. Additionally, YSU offers a regional out-of-state surcharge of $1,413.60 for residents of its Regional Service Area, which includes Chautauqua County in New York; Armstrong, Clarion, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Warren, Washington and Westmoreland counties in Pennsylvania; and Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, and Ohio counties in West Virginia.

Upper division undergraduate fees are: in-state instructional fee, $1,681; general/other fee, $44; and out-of-state surcharge, $1,583. 4. Effective Fall 2005, Summit College students entering baccalaureate programs are charged the UA main campus rate. 4a. Instructional Fees and Out-of State Surcharge for students enrolled prior to Fall 2009 are $7,191 and $4,755 respectively.

Columbus State approved a fee increase in Winter 2010 that will be waived through Summer Quarter 2012. The effective annualized tuition rate for in-state undergraduate students is $3,555. Note, however, that the actual annualized tuition rate is $3678.75 and the out-of-state surcharge is $1488.75. 2. Northwest State currently has approval from the Chancellor to waive $120 per term in tuition and fees such that the effective annualized tuition rate for in-state undergraduate students is $4,080. Note, however, that the actua annualized tuition rate is $4,320. 3. Rio Grande Community College does not accept out-of-state students. Out-of-state students may be admitted to the University of Rio Grande, a private institution with which the community college is affiliated. In addition, Rio Grande charges a technology fee to all full-time students registered for 6 or more credit hours per term. Since the technology fee is paid by all full-time students, it appears in the Regent's annual survey as a general fee, however, is not uniformly assessed to all students and therefore not subject to the legislative mandate restricting (instructional and general) fee increases at Ohio's public colleges and universities.
