NEW GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS! IN ADDITION TO COURSE WORK (50 CREDITS) YOU WILL HAVE TO SHOW PROFICIENCY IN BOTH MATH AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS. MOST OF YOU WILL FULFILL THIS REQUIREMENT BY TAKING THE SAT YOUR JUNIOR YEAR (IN APRIL). AS MORE INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE FROM THE COLORADO STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION, IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS 50 TOTAL CREDITS ARE REQUIRED Every semester course = 1 Credit *study hall and TA are both ½ credit CORE 8 ENGLISH Credits 6 MATH Credits - must include: ALGEBRA 1 (2 credits required) & GEOMETRY (2 credits required) 6 SCIENCE Credits 6 SOCIAL SCIENCE Credits U.S.HISTORY (2 credits required - *Junior Yr Class) CIVICS (1 credit required)

Registration will be slightly different this year. We ll go through the steps in the next slides. General Information: Log in to your IC Account Stay in your 11 th grade lane for next year s scheduling! Drop down menu in each section Elective classes may be located under fine art, unrestricted elective, or core You may select a study hall or TA (Student Assistant) each semester -You ll be paired with a teacher in the fall If you are on track for graduation, you may select one attendance waiver each semester (a partial) Select classes based on your ICAP and postsecondary plans/ideas! Make sure you have completed your 10th grade tasks for ICAP in Naviance!
HOW TO REGISTER Log Into Infinite Campus: https://mycampus.asd20.org/campus/port al/academy20.jsp Academic Plan - left side of screen, under students name
Click in the text box Type or scroll from drop down options to find a class and click to select Repeat for each credit type Select 12 credits total Math and World Language will be entered by your teacher at a later time, for a total of 16 credits/8 classes per semester Select at least 3 alternates in order of preference You will get an alert that not enough credits have been selected-ignore this as we will only be working on next year s selections, not all 4 years
THE PORTAL WILL BE OPEN FOR REGISTRATION FEBRUARY 6 TH TO FEBRUARY 28TH Counselors will be meeting with most Sophomores during your Chemistry class the week of February11 to confirm your registration.
LOOKING AHEAD Regardless of your post-high school plan (work, military, college, it s important to do your best in High School as employers, colleges and other organizations you apply with will consider: Cumulative GPA Test Scores (SAT, ACT) Rigor of classes Specific academic requirements Commitment to talents (Music, Art, Theater, etc.) Involvement in school activities, sports Community Involvement (community service) These things really do matter!
