Website Advertisement requires 248 Junior Trainees Rectt.Advt.No. 06/2014 Applications are invited from qualified, young and energetic Indian nationals with good health and sound physique to join as Junior Trainees in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. The job involves working in 3 rotation shifts and only MALE candidates are eligible to apply. However, FEMALE candidates can apply for Instrumentation branch only. NAME OF THE POST QUALIFICATIONS (As on 01.6.2014) Junior Trainee SSC with ITI / Diploma in Engineering in the following Trades/ Disciplines (60% marks in ITI / Diploma in Engineering for Gen/OBC candidates, 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates): Branch Mechanical Eligible ITI Trades (2 years and above duration) with NCVT Certificate Fitter Machinist Mill Wright Turner Draughtsman (Mechanical) Eligible Diploma in Engineering Courses (conducted by State Board of Technical Education & Training) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Electrician Diploma in Electrical Engineering Instrumentation Electronics Instrument Mechanic Diploma in Electronics/ Electronics & Communications/ Instrumentation/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering Note: Ex-Servicemen with equivalent qualifications are eligible. Question Papers will be set separately for Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation branches. Depending on the candidate s trade/discipline, he / she has to appear for the written test in their respective branches. AGE LIMIT Not less than 18 years and not more than 27 years as on 01.6.2014 (As on 01.6.2014) i.e. born between 01.6.1987 and 31.5.1996 (both days inclusive). TRAINING and PAY Preference will be given to Displaced Persons of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Displaced Persons of VSP need not apply against this advertisement since the list of all the eligible Displaced Persons registered with Sub- Employment Exchange, Gajuwaka, will be obtained from the Sub- Employment Exchange and they will be considered. 11 posts out of the above are reserved for PWD category as under: i) Partially Blind : 04 ii) Hearing Impaired : 04 iii) Orthopedically Handicapped : 03 (40% to 74% disability) Reservation for Meritorious Sportspersons / Ex-Servicemen (including dependants of those killed in action) / Minority will be given as per rules. Selected candidates will be on training for a period of twenty four (24) months, which may be extended for cases where progress during training is found not satisfactory. Candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of `10,700/- (consolidated) during the first year and a monthly stipend of `12,200/- (consolidated) during the remaining period of training. PHYSICAL STANDARDS On satisfactory completion of training, candidates will be considered for appointment on probation to a regular post, subject to availability of vacancies in any Operation/Maintenance/ Service/ Mines area, with a minimum basic pay of `9160/- in the pay scale of `9160-3%-13150/- (S-3) with usual D.A. and allowances as admissible under the rules in force from time to time. Pay scale is due for upward revision w.e.f. 1.1.2012. Male Female Height 150 cms 143 cms Weight 45 kgs 35 kgs SELECTION PROCEDURE The basic physical standards are: Chest: Unexpanded 75 cms; Expanded: 80 cms; Vision: No squint and no color blindness partial or full. Eye Sight: Power of glasses not to exceed ±2, if worn. The above physical standards are only indicative and not exhaustive. Written test on General Aptitude (including knowledge in English and Telugu) and Branch (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation) Test paper will be set in bilingual in English and Telugu Candidates shortlisted based on performance in written test will be called for interview Merit list will be prepared separately for each branch and candidates will be selected as per the vacancies in each branch. APPLICATION FEE Examination & Processing fee of `300/- (Rupees Three Hundred only) for General and OBC candidates Application fees must be deposited in RINL Recruitment Account No. 30589461220 at any of the core banking branches of State Bank of India in the prescribed Challan. No other form of payment is accepted. Format for Challan is available on the website www.vizagsteel.com on the link Careers.

Candidates have to pay maximum bank commission @ `25/- per Challan for depositing fees at other than State Bank of India, Steel Plant Branch, Visakhapatnam, Branch Code 6318. Candidates must fill up the SBI Branch name, Branch Code, candidate s name and date of birth carefully in the Challan and sign at the place Deposited by. Last date for deposit of Application fee is 7 th July 2014. However, candidates should deposit their fees well ahead, since Online application also closes on 7 th July 2014 at 5:30 PM. Candidates should mention in the appropriate column in the online application form the details of SBI branch, Branch code, City, date of deposit and the Journal Number. Application fees once deposited into RINL s account will not be refunded under any circumstances, for electrical or internet failure or even if the candidate is rejected on scrutiny or any other reason. The candidate should retain his/her copy of the counterfoil of the Challan for future reference. How to Apply STEP 1 Log on to www.vizagsteel.com and click on Careers STEP 2 Read CAREFULLY all the instructions given on the website. STEP 3 Have the following readily available: (a) e-mail ID (which must be valid for minimum of next Twelve Months) (b) Latest passport size photograph in digital format (.jpg file of less than 50 KB size) and digital format of the signature (.jpg file of less than 50 KB size) for uploading with the application form. The recommended dimensions of the passport photograph are 150(W) X 200(H) pixels. The recommended dimensions of digital format of the signature is 150(W) X 50(H) pixels STEP 4: (For SC/ST/PWD candidates) (a) Enter the basic details like name, date of birth, category, name of the post applied, email id and upload recent passport size photograph and signature. (b) Complete the registration process by filling the balance details like discipline, address, qualification, experience etc. and click SUBMIT. (c) After clicking SUBMIT, download the computer generated Registration Slip with unique registration number, photograph, signature and other essential details. Take a print of the Registration Slip to be produced at the time of written test/ interview. STEP 5: (For GEN/OBC candidates) a) Enter the basic details like name, date of birth, category, name of the post applied, email id and upload recent passport size photograph and signature. b) Download the application fee payment challan with name, date of birth, registration number and photograph printed on it. c) Deposit the fee in SBI and obtain the stamped Counterfoil (Candidate s copy) along with deposit Journal Number. d) Log on to the JT Online application site again by entering the registration number / email id / dob. e) Fill in the online form with balance details like payment particulars, discipline, address, qualification experience etc., and click SUBMIT.

f) After clicking SUBMIT, download the computer generated Registration Slip with unique registration number, photograph, signature and other essential details. Take a print-out of the Registration Slip to be produced at the time of written test/ interview. STEP 6: Candidates who do not complete the Registration process by not entering all their details and do not take print-out of their Registration Slip will not be considered for the written test even if they have uploaded their photograph and signature and/or paid their application fees. STEP 7: The online registration site opens on 27 th June 2014 and closes on 7 th July 2014. All correspondence with the candidates shall be done through e-mail / announcement on the website only. All information regarding examination schedule / admit card / interview call letters etc. shall be provided through e-mail / to be downloaded from website. Responsibility of receiving / downloading and printing of admit card shall be of the candidate. Company will not be responsible for any loss of e-mail sent, due to invalid / wrong e-mail ID provided by the candidate or due to other reasons. STEP 8: Candidates are advised to visit the website on or after 27 th July 2014 for further instructions regarding downloading of Admit Cards. WRITTEN TEST Likely date for Written Test is 10 th August 2014 The list of eligible candidates for written test will be put on the website www.vizagsteel.com under the link Careers on or after 27th July 2014. Candidates are required to download their Admit Cards for the written test from our website www.vizagsteel.com on or after 27 th July 2014. GENERAL CONDITIONS 1. Only Online applications through website www.vizagsteel.com will be accepted. No other form of application will be accepted. 2. Incomplete/illegible/unsigned/multiple applications or applications not in prescribed format or without self attested photograph, or those received after the last date will be rejected. 3. All qualifications should be from a recognized Board/ University/ Institution in India. All certificates should be in English or Hindi. 4. Depending on the requirement, the Company reserves the right to cancel/restrict/ enlarge/curtail the recruitment process as well as the number of positions in each branch/trade or overall, keeping in view the Plant s needs without any further notice and without assigning any reason thereof. 5. The candidates are advised to ensure while applying that they fulfil the eligibility criteria and other requirements mentioned in this advertisement and that the particulars furnished by them are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment process that the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria and/or does not comply with other requirements of this advertisement and/or he has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his candidature liable to be rejected. If any of the above shortcomings is/are detected, even after appointment, his services are liable to be terminated without any notice. 6. The final selection is subject to the candidates being found medically fit as per Company s Medical Rules. 7. Candidates will have to appear for the written test at their own cost. Written Test will be conducted at test centre(s) in Andhra Pradesh. 8. Candidates should produce the required certificates in original in proof of Age, Caste, Qualification etc., at the time of interview failing which their applications will be rejected.

9. Candidates working in Govt. / Semi-Govt. / Public Undertakings will have to produce No Objection Certificate from the present employer at the time of interview. 10. Employees working in RINL-VSP should apply through proper channel failing which their application will be rejected. In case, during any stage of recruitment process it is found that such candidates have suppressed the information about their employment in RINL-VSP and have not applied through proper channel, their candidature will be rejected. 11. Candidates should retain a printout of the Registration Slip and counterfoil of the Challan of Application fees for future reference. 12. Candidates not depositing exact amount of Application fees will be rejected. 13. In case of any overwriting or tampering of Registration Slip, the candidature of the candidate shall be rejected. If there is mistake while registering online, the candidate has to register again before the last date. 14. Candidates submitting photocopies of Registration Slip shall be rejected. 15. RINL shall not be responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit at any stage of the recruitment process. No request in this regard will be entertained. 16. Candidates found to be submitting any false declaration / certificate or indulging in malpractices during selection process will be disqualified and also debarred from future recruitments. 17. The decision of RINL-VSP in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance, rejection of the application, issue of Admit cards, mode of selection, conduct of written test, allotment of examination centres, interview, verification of testimonials and selection will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection. 18.
