At the rally we celebrated our 30 th anniversary as an FMCA chapter. We have filled a number of our 2017 rally spots, and it is now officially the holiday season. Life is good! Treasurer's Report Reminder - 2017 SCRR Dues are payable by December 31, 2016. Checks made payable to the Sun Country Road Runners in the amount of $20.00 per rig can be mailed to Marilyn Samuels, Treasurer, 11205 E. Manzanita Tr., Dewey, AZ 86327-5518. They can also be given to me at the SCRR December Luncheon. Thanks to those members who have already paid! Marilyn Samuels, Treasurer Recent Events: November 15-18 SCRR Annual Meeting at Wickenburg. Your officers hosted our annual rally, business meeting, and election of officers. We also celebrated our 30 th anniversary as an FMCA chapter. Norm displayed a certificate and congratulatory letter from the FMCA recognizing this landmark. Future Events: 2016/2017 Rallies and other events: December 15, 2016 at 11:30 The club will hold our annual Christmas luncheon at the Bonn Fire Restaurant in Chino Valley. There will be an optional gift exchange with gifts of value up to $10. Below is the menu which will be offered. Please select your choice and let Hank and Marie know by December 9, that you will be attending and which meal selection you choose. January 20 thru 23 (or longer if you prefer), 2017 The Roses will host an informal rally at Quartzsite. The Big Tent RV Show in Quartzsite is Jan. 21 thru 29 so Tony and Linda will go down early and find a site. As we arrive on the 20 th, Linda will lead each of us into the site. All meals will be on your own, except for a salad potluck one night TBA Linda s Directions: Take exit 19 in Quartzsite, the first off-ramp going west. Turn left and go to end of road and turn left. Follow road all around until you see a campground host on your right, there will be a flag flying and go into that area and call me at 928-899-4114 and I will come and get you and escort you to where we will be camping. February 9-12, home on the 13th, 2017: Al & Shirley Papera will host a rally at the Pinal County Fairgrounds in Casa Grande for the annual Wuertz Gourd Festival. The actual dates of the festival are Feb 10, 11, and 12. Water and electric (20 amp) are available This has been a very popular rally the last several years with lots of amazing gourd art, continuous entertainment, and lots of fair type food. Please RSVP to Al and Shirley (928-636-9003 or sjpapera@q.com) by February 3. A schedule and detailed driving instructions will be emailed to all participants prior to the rally. March 2017. We have no formal rally scheduled yet for March, so please agree to host a rally this month. Contact Ed Cesena, our Wagonmaster to sign up. The FMCA is holding their 95 th International Convention in Chandler, AZ on March 7 10, 2017. It s hard to pass up going to an FMCA convention this close to home. These conventions always offer workshops, seminars, excellent entertainment, and vendors representing all areas of RVing. If you are interested in attending, you must sign up directly with the FMCA. Norm Scherer (nsche@earthlink.net or 928-445-4247) has agreed to coordinate with any attendees so we can arrive together and park together.

April 10, 11, 12 and home on the 13 th Ed and Anais Cesena will host a rally at the Cottonwood Fairgrounds Community Center. Further details will follow. May 2017 is still open. This would be an excellent rally for YOU to host. Please contact Ed Cesena, our Wagonmaster to schedule! June, July, and August comprise our summer hiatus, and we usually schedule no rallies during these months. September 2017 is still open. Please consider hosting this rally and contact Ed Cesena to sign up! October 2017. Win & Phyllis Gee and Marvin & Carol Roskos are hosting a rally at Catalina State Park in Tucson. Dates and details will be furnished later. November 14, 15, 16, home on 17th, 2017. This is our annual rally, our elections of 2018 officers, and our annual business meeting. This is hosted by your club officers and is always a wonderful rally! Details will be made available when available. December 2017 The club will hold our annual Christmas luncheon at a local restaurant and will conduct an optional gift exchange. The location, date, and time will be announced.
