This Schedule applies to applications into courses that commence from 6 November 2017. The current Schedule applies to applications into courses that commence before 6 November 2017 and is available via clause 2 of the Admission Criteria and Selection (HEC) procedure. SCHEDULE B: UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS F DEAKIN COURSES Approved by Academic Board on 25 July 2017. This schedule is pursuant to the Admission Criteria and Selection (Higher Education Courses) procedure. Section A: sets out minimum entry requirements for UNDERGRADUATE courses. Section B: sets out minimum entry requirements for POSTGRADUATE coursework programs. NOTES: 1. Standard and course-specific minimum entry requirements are set for undergraduate courses and postgraduate coursework programs. Course-specific variations to the standard requirements require a strong rationale based on: a. prescriptive professional accreditation requirements b. academic considerations, including specific skills needed to participate in the course or where a course is specifically designed for students from a particular background c. strategic considerations, including attraction or enablement of particular student groups or alignment with particular industry needs. 2. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee that an applicant will be offered a place in a course (refer clause 7). 3. Formal qualifications or work and/or life experience listed as a basis for admission should have been attained no more than 10 years before application unless otherwise specified in Table A2 or Table B2 (refer clause 8 and 9). 4. Formal qualifications with equivalent learning outcomes and equivalent standards of achievement (where specified) to those listed will also be accepted as a basis for admission (refer clause 9) 5. Faculty Boards may specify: a. the nature of work and/or life experience that will be considered as evidence of ability to meet the demands of the course b. discipline areas that are related to the discipline of a course. 6. Section A: Undergraduate courses minimum course entry requirements To be eligible for a place in an undergraduate course, applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements set out below in: Table A1 Standard minimum entry requirements for undergraduate courses Table A2 - Course-specific minimum entry requirements for undergraduate courses (to apply in place of the standard minimum entry requirements in Table A1). The score on the GAMSAT must have been obtained no more than two years before the course commencement date.
