College at a Glance: Arts College Nimgaon is situated on rural area at Nimgaon of the Malegaon Tahsil, Nashik District of the Maharashtra State. The College has opened the pathway of higher education to the youth. The college is established in 2000. Formerly it was known as Arts College Saundane. The college is located at the beauty of nature. A huge playground of the college provides an opportunity to the students to discover their talent in sports and games. The college will be a decent learning centre in the near future. Hon'ble Samajshriee Dr. Prashantdada Hiray, Ex- Minister of Transport and Protocol, Maharashtra State, has started the college at Saundane to provide the facility of higher education to the rural masses by keeping The Motto of the institution is 'Bahujan hitay Bahujan Sukhay' and the path showen by Karmveer Bhausaaheb Hiray, the then maker of Historical Tenancy Act and the then Revenue Minister of Bombay Province, the founder of the two leading Institutions viz. Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir and Adivasi Seva Mandir on 2 October, 1952 at Nimgaon. Hon'ble Dr. Apoorva Hiray, the Member of Legislative Council, Maharashtra State has shifted the college at Nimgaon, Tal. Malegaon by keeping the vision to convert the tiny college into the modern Educational Hub along with optimum educational facilities in the near future. The college continues to impart higher education to the rural students who live in remote rural places. Majority of the students are economically and socially deprived. Along with facilitating the participation of rural students in higher education, its efforts are directed at providing holistic education that encourages critical and independent thinking. S/he willing to seek admission for Optional English at SYBA level must opt Optional English at FYBA. However, it is not the Extra of seventh subject. A course in Physical Education is Compulsory. S/he should choose any special as per his/her wish. The candidate must pass FYBA or ATKT for any two subjects a) Compulsory English b) Any two subjects at gennal out of subjects studied at F.Y.B.A. c) Out of above five two papers of Special and one paper of general of the same special. d) A course in Environmental Awareness is compulsory. 4

C} TYBA A candidate must be passed F. Y, B, A. examination and passed at S.Y.B.A, or A.T.K.T.in two subjects. The eligible candidate should select any six papers ol 100 marks each as below a) Compulsory English b) General and Special subjects a t S Y BA will be continued. Examination Pattern: Note : 80-20 pattern of examination is adopted for FY, / S.Y.,'T.Y, B.A.. Term End exam is conducted out (60) marks. These 60 marks will be further converted in to 20 marks. The Annual University Examination will be conducted out of 80 Mat ks. * The practical of 100 marks will be conducted in the subjects Geography, S-2&S-4 and Psycology S4. * There will be 30 marks exam conducted bv the department of History * 70% attendance is compulsory as per University rules * S-3 :20 Marks for Project and 10 Marks for Viva Voce 5

A Course in Envirnomental Awareness: As per S.P. Pune University Circular No. 286 of 2004 A Course in Envirnomental Awareness is compulsory foe SYBA. A student has to pay Rs. 220 as a Fee for this course A separate examination of 100 marks of this course will be conducted. Students will be awarded with grades for the course. Thse grades appears on the statement of marks. The university will not declare the result of thirsd year of thye students if they are not qualified for this course. 1. College Library: The college has a well furnished and well equipped library, having around 3000 books with latest 15 journals. Reading Room facility is available for the staff members and Students. The library is well equipped with Audio-Visual Aids and computers. It has a special scheme tor poor students i.e. Poor Boys Book Bank facility. * A) General Rules of Library: Every student entering in the library should pass his/her valid Identity Card. It should be produced as and when demanded by any of the library staff. Identity Card and Issue Card is non transferable. Students should handle the books or periodicals very carefully. Art attempt of damaging the books of periodicals (defecting of tearing th: page) will be treated as misconduct and shall be subjected for penalty. If the original Identity Card is lost, a duplicate card will be issued on ttu payment of Rs. 50/- each. One book at a time will be issued against the Issue Card. A student is allowed to keep the book for 7 days only. In case of failure to return of the book in time. The student will be fined for daily as per the rules of the college. Issuing of book will be between 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. B) Book Bank Facility: College runs Book-Bank Scheme for needy students. Students should apply in the prescribed form for books from Book Bank at tfee beginning of the year 9

10 Rules for discipline Students must follow all the norms and discipline of this college * Students must carry their Identity Cards along with them in the College Campus. * Vehicles must be parked at the Parking place only. * Students must not bunk lectures. * Smoking, consuming gutkha, Pan Masala, Pan & spitting in premises is strictly prohibited. * Photography is not allowed in the premises. *: Articles / weapons that may cause physical injury are prohibited in the campus. * Writing anything on the walls of classroom of toilet, throwing scraps and garbagies prohibited. * The furniture, lamps, fans etc. in the classroom should be used carefully. *: Shouting, causing nuisance, banding on staircase and loitering in the college porch is prohibited. * Visitors are not allowed in the campus unless special permission is granted. * Students will have to follow all rules made by laboratories,library. * Students are not allowed to enter on the terrace or in the garden. * No students will participate in any and social or anti college campaign. Nor will they take part in any religious movement in the college campus. Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited in the college campus. Prevention of Ragging in the college Premises Ragging is an offence as per Maharashtra Circular No. 170 of 2009 & UGC guidelines, Circular No. Fl-16/2007 (CCPII) dated 17 June 2009. Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999. Any student found involving himself of herself shall be dismissed with immediate effect action on the accussed student will be taken as per Savitribai Phule Pune University. 11

Ragging constitutes one or more of any of the following acts: a. any conduct by any student or students whether,by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student; b. indulging in rowdy or indiscipline activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student; c. asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student; d. any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular e. exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students. f. any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student by students; g. any act of physical abuse including all variants of its sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person; h. any act or abuse by spoken words, e-mails, post, public insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from actively or passively participating in the discomfiture to fresher or any other student. I- any act that affects the mental health and self-corftdence of a fresher or any other student with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student. 12
