Approval of Minutes February 18, 2014 Regular Session Meeting (7:00 P.M.) The motion was made by Kelly Hayes and seconded by Shelly Bugh to approve the minutes of the Regular Session Meeting held on February 18, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. Vote: 7-0. Motion carried. February 18, 2014 - Executive Session Meeting (7:52 P.M.) The motion was made by Nathan Shinkle and seconded by Shelly Bugh to approve the minutes of the Executive Session Meeting held on February 18, 2014 at 7:52 P.M. Vote: 7-0. Motion carried. Authorization for Payment of Bills The motion was made by Nancy Averill and seconded by Karen Hall to approve the payment of the March 2014 warrants as presented. Vote: 6-0-1. Abstained: Kelly Hayes. Motion carried.

Regular Session Minutes Page 2 Citizen s Communications Board President, Stacy Harder, read a note from: PTO requesting the Board s help with the PTO Carnival on March 29 Lovegreen Ford Chrysler congratulating the Girls Basketball Team on their success Administrators Reports The board heard and accepted reports from the superintendent and administrators. Additional reports were made by: Rick Johnson Introduced Zach Summers, Boys Basketball Head Coach who: o recognized players that have received individual honors at conference and district level o highlighted accomplishments of the team for the season including co-tri-rivers Conference Championship o thanked the community for the strong support throughout the season and post-season Introduced Keith Gudehus, Girls Basketball Head Coach who: o thanked the Board for their support o highlighted accomplishments of the team this season o recognized individual players that have received individual honors at the conference and district level o recognized the team for a successful season including Tri-Rivers Conference Championship and District Championship It was noted that Coach Gudehus and Coach Summers had each been named Coach of the Year in the Tri-Rivers Conference respectively for 2013-2014 girls and boys basketball season Nancy Goodwin Recognized 7 th Grade SPARK Robotics team on their first place award at MACC competition Recognized 8 th Grade SPARK Robotics team on their third place award at MACC competition Informed the Board that the district s Special Education Self-Assessment had been submitted Stated that Preschool/Kindergarten screening will be March 28 Frances Jones Noted that radkids training started today Noted that Rotary had presented a dictionary to all third grade students and held a question and answer session with students Informed the Board that the Red Cross had made a presentation to students Noted that PTO had presented the Box Top rewards Stated that Delta Dental had made a presentation to students today Supt. Turgeon Informed the Board that several members of the county s first responder groups-fire, ambulance - had made a tour of the district today to become familiar with facilities in case of an emergency and discussed the issue of water supply

Turgeon (Continued) Discussed with the Board the increase in the cost of district-provided health insurance for next year and discussed exploring options for ways to decrease costs but still maintain or improve benefits Informed the Board that he will be attending the MASA Conference this week Unfinished business No items on the agenda. New Business Program and Services Evaluation Reports-Early Childhood/PAT/Parent Education Nancy Goodwin presented the report for Early Childhood/PAT/Parent Education. The motion was made by Karen Hall and seconded by Kelly Hayes to accept the Program and Services Report for Early Childhood/PAT/Parent Education as presented. Vote: 7-0. Motion carried. 2014-2015 Career Pathways Guide Susan Buckallew presented the Career Pathways Guide for 2014-2015. The motion was made by Kelly Hayes and seconded by Nancy Averill to approve the Career Pathways Guide for 2014-2015 as presented. Vote: 7-0. Motion carried. Mowing Services 2014 President Harder opened and read quotes for mowing services for 2014. The Board discussed the quotes submitted. Supt. Turgeon recommended the district accept the quote from Clair Weiler for mowing services for 2014. The motion was made by Nathan Shinkle and seconded by Nancy Averill to accept the quote from Clair Weiler in the amount of $7980.00 for the entire school grounds for the season with no extra charges for the year per quote specifications for 2014. Vote: 7-0. Motion carried. Adjournment The motion was made by Shelly Bugh and seconded by Nancy Averill to adjourn the regular session meeting to go into closed session for the purpose of considering the following: Personnel under Section 610.021 Subsection 3 and 13 Vote: 7-0. The motion was made by Nathan Shinkle and seconded by Nancy Averill to accept the resignation submitted by Megan Hartshorn effective at the end of the 2013-2014 school year. Vote: 7-0. The motion was made by Stacy Harder and seconded by Mark Cardwell to accept the resignation submitted by Kevin Shively effective at the end of the 2013-2014 school year. Vote: 7-0.
