P a g e 2 THE HEADMASTER S DESK The end of the year has come with a rush. As this will be the last newsletter for the year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the contribution you have made to the success of 2018; boys, parents, teaching staff, admin staff, coaching staff, ground staff and kitchen staff. Every one of these groups has played such an important role in making Pridwin what it is today. I would also like to thank the Board and the PPA for the tremendous work that they have done. We would like to bid the following staff members farewell and thank them for the positive contribution they have made to our school: Liz Grawez retires at the end of this year. She has taught so many Pridwin boys over the last 16 years, first as a Grade 0 teacher and then later in Grade 2. All the best Liz and thank you for touching so many little lives in such a positive way. Amora Visser also retires at the end of this year. Amora has served Pridwin for 9 years, first as an Afrikaans teacher and then as our Catering Manager. Thank you Amora for looking after us so faithfully over the years. Lynne Delaté leaves us to run her own little school after 11 years. Thank you Lynne for the tremendous impact you made on so many lives in the classroom and on the sports field. Who will keep us dancing when you are gone? Ndumiso Mtshali filled in for a term when Ronnie Williams left us. Thank you Ndumiso for filling in so seamlessly and we hope you will be back when a vacancy occurs some time in the future. Two interns finish their time with us: Cameron Eliot and Kgathane Malane. They did a great job and they are well on their way to becoming excellent teachers and we wish them everything of the best in their teaching endeavours. Gugu Nkabinde volunteered her services as an intern this year. Thank you Gugu for your quiet and dedicated service in Grade 3. We wish you every success as you complete your studies and qualify to become a teacher. All that remains is to wish each and every one a safe and well deserved holiday and may the New Year bring peace, joy and success. SERVICE STAFF The Service Staff have served us well this year. The amount of work and effort they put in often goes unnoticed. We invite parents to make a gesture of goodwill for their year end. Contributions can be made at the Bursar s office.
